14 already entered, i'm confident of reaching a minimum of 17 and adding that extra prize pot. GOOD EH!!!
 
We are now at Punter's target of 16 players. Great.
Lets hope we can still get a couple more in before kick-off and increase that jackpot.

Y'all only paid £30. You might just get a weekend away in Weston out of it. For one.

One more thing before kick off.

I'm happy to pay winnings to locals by cash, or cheque and Betnod'ers by cheque in the post, BUT.. PAYPAL is well worth looking into.
It would make life easier for me running this next season AND you can have your winnings within 2 hours of me officially announcing the winner, rather than 6 days.

Oh ffs, i've not seen him. He's had the codes for over a week but i'm wondering if he's had trouble signing up as he's always said he was definitely in?

I need you all to voice your opinions now, can he stay and we put the extra £30 to a highest weekly score over the season?

Or should i remove him from the leagues?

I'm happy for him to stay. He managed to get in at Gameweek 1, so gained nor lost anything.
But I am a newcomer to this mini-league so am happy to go with what others want.

I took the opportunity to compare Punter’s original predictions with those he actually used. He did better than me with his zero score, although I thought he was ambitious forecasting Man United would massacre Swansea 5-0.
But if he hadn’t changed anything he would have been one of this week’s high scorers with 50 points.
Punter had Leicester to draw at home to Everton and changed it to an away win = a loss of 30 points
He had two stabs at the Stoke v A Villa game and got them both wrong.
Okay he swapped his Insurance, but from one losing forecast to another losing forecast.
He originally had Man City to win at Newcastle but changed it to draw and lost another 20 points.
I think the lesson is: once forecasts selected don’t change them or don’t let anyone know what you are doing.

Let him stay and carry on as normal Punt, can't see anybody jumping in now with such a small advantage looking to cheat, I'd say it was a genuine oversight, and if he had already paid it doesn't make a difference.

I think he should, i just needed to make sure you're all ok with it. He entered his scores before i issued the codes, which we all do, but then was unable to enter the codes until this Monday due to being away. He's a genuine lad and would of put his scores up if he had minus 60.

I'm happy to keep him in too, I'll make sure this doesnt happen next season though and i'll go update the prize fund.

Just to make the highest score clear...

For example...

Wycher had the highest score in week 1 with 85pts from 10 games. If somebody else hits the same highest weekly score next week and a game has been postponed due to the weather or Mario Balotelli etc, then that player would win due there only being 9 games.
In any other case, the prize money would be shared.

I would imagine the highest score will probably be won in one of the double fixture weeks and should be around 220-240pts.

Betnod League Cup

The league cup will run for 5 weeks, from Gameweeks 3 - 7, with us all starting with 0pts. The top two finishing the group will play head to head against each other in the final, in Gameweek 10

(In the event of a tie in the league or in the final, a head to head in the following Gameweek will decide who goes through or who wins. In the rare event of a further tie here, it would be decided by who sits highest in the BPL league at present time).

Current highest is 145 points in Gameweek 2 scored by Mr Howson.
Don't give him the money yet Punt, I'm hoping to better that score.:)
 
Fellas would you be ok with somebody else joining the paid league?

There's been another misunderstanding, i wont bore you with the details. But this would be the situation should you all be ok with it.

Mick Sorohan has been in the paid leagues for a few years now but due to a misunderstanding, cock up, he never entered at the start of this years comp's.

If he was to enter now, he would be top of the league cup after week 1 by 5 pts and he would be 2nd in the BPL league after 3 weeks.

Now i know that sounds unfair, but due to it being partly my fault i'm in a difficult situation. So here's what i suggest..

The only competitions this really affects are the League Cup and the BPL. If he was to get in the prize money in either of these two competitions i will pay him out of my own pocket and add an extra place (play and pay out on the game as if he's not in it).

Mick finished 11th of 14 in last years paid league and 24th of 28 in the free league. He's been paying for 3 yrs now and has never had a return. It's just awkward that he's had a decent start in the opening 3 weeks.

Would you be ok with the above?
