Phil Jones, playing in midfield, again excelled and scored United’s crucial first with a brilliantly controlled volley.
No mention of this then?

......... but is he not supposed to be primarily a defender? If that is the case, wouldn't it be a good idea if he could actually make a tackle now and again without giving a free kick away?
Yes, he will look good in United's side when they have 75% of possession in a game and the camera sees more of him blasting shots over the bar that it does in his own third of the field .....
Oh and to make a final point, as far as his potential for England is concerned, I couldn't give a shit.
Good luck tonight. I'd like United to go through, along with Manchester's top club.
I'm sharing that.
I think Jones is going to be a great defender in years to come btw, as for now i think he's great going forward from midfield, he's 19 and is doing everything asked of him. He's a dream team must at present.
Looks like I've hooked a big'un.
So to summarise, your opinion is the only one allowed, this thread's only for criticising Jones and supporting your witch-hunt and although the majority of England fans hate United and have actively singled out United's players for numerous tournament exits over the years, you're puzzled that United fans don't want to support England.
Remove the blinkers my friend.
Adios.
I'm starting to thing you must have some kind of learning disability

Whilst I don't condone the extremes they went to, the fact is they targeted United players for tournament exits because it was their fucking fault we got knocked out.
and left Evans where he belongs - anywhere but on a football pitch.
Still, back to Thursday night football soon.
