Fingers crossed for them both after a terrible incident at Kempton today. Both reported to have severe spinal injuries.

Saw video today for first time and they've been really lucky (apart from Freddie).

Every Jockeys worst nightmare, hopefully it's not permanent.

It's the downside of the sport which nobody wants to discuss. As most of us are looking forward to Christmas this young man with all his life ahead of him faces the prospect of paraplegia and the Injured Jockeys Fund. I had researched an article several months ago regarding young jockeys in Newmarket, attracted by the glitz and the glamour of the sport, many becoming hooked on cocaine in the pub toilets, unable to face an interminable loneliness, whilst the pick of the crop endure a gruelling schedule of 12- hour days, where most are lucky to make £40 a race.
