And then Sunderland - and with aplogies to Seen - but gee how spineless were they against us.
O'shea - Brown - Van Arnholt etc were a total disgrace to the red and white shirt.
I quite like Sunderland and therefore don't like to gloat when we beat them - but I hope their players show more respect for their shirt in the next few games
No need to apologise, mate - I gave up going to the matches years ago, a man can only take so much embarrassment. Obviously I want them to do well but there's been something seriously wrong with the whole club for a long time now, I think we've had 6 managers in the last 7 years or something, it seems like it doesn't matter who we get in, they're destined to fail.
It's the fans I feel sorry for, there was 45,746 at the game on Saturday, which is incredible when you think of the dreadful fare served up by Poyet's lot at the SOL this season (not to mention the fact we are in a relegation battle every single season). We've only won 2 home games this season, are averaging less than a goal per game at home, have the worst home defensive record, have had fewer shots at the opposition and had more shots against us than any other team in the Prem.
We've scored just one goal in our last 6 matches (including v Villa, QPR and Bradford) and have scored more than one goal in a Prem game just once in the last 4 and a half months since Nov 3rd (19 games).
When we were 0-2 at home to QPR last month I saw Ladbrokes were going 16/1 for Poyet to be next manager to leave, I was going to back him but had no money in that account and couldn't be arsed depositing so left it. What a dickhead
I've layed him now at around 1.34 as I think this might be a media over reaction, after Martin O'Neill was sacked the chairman stated he was going to give the next manager more time as sacking managers every 12 months wasn't working, but it does look like his position is untenable now.
