Fcuk me! just spotted him playing for Hull against Blackpool, I thought he jacked it in yrs ago.
Saying that he doesn't look that bad for his age, he must be about 60 now.

Mickey reminded me Kevin Philip's was in the same match, after wikiing I found out Philip's is older but Barmby has been playing at the top level for longer aka 3 yrs, seems an eternity to me.

I never particularly liked Barmby when he was in his prime but he moved to Hull when he knew his time at the top was finished, basically, to help out his local club. They were in the third tier at the time and he could easily have got a contract for more money at a higher club and that deserves respect for me.

The fact that he then helped that team get into the top flight and the fact that he's still playing (albeit for limited periods in games) deserves even more respect. He's one of those players who is liable to donate his testimonial money either back to the club or to charity.
