Official Rules thread

What happens for example with the 3rd test in the cricket? Due to run from Friday to Tuesday. Presumably we're only allowed to bet on any markets that would be settled in the first three days, but not anything that might not be settled until the end of the match (assuming for one moment that England actually manage to make the match last the full 5 days)

How about if your opponent agrees then so long as the bet is placed before 11pm on Sunday and settles before the Comp ends then its allowed?

Well, in effect the 2nd week starts @ 11pm next sunday night, so I dont think there's any problem with putting the bet in your 2nd week thread, but we've agreed on 11pm next sunday as a cut off to be able to tally up before going into week 2

Cant see how you can have a match bet on the test, & if you have something like 1st innings lead & thats not finalised in 3 days you're fucked

So, do we post picks in the thread here at Betnod? Or do I need to hop along to the oppositon and stick them in Letsbet's forum as well? :thinking

All prices to be taken from Bet365 & worked out as decimals.

Swoops or ODM, are the horse racing results to sp or 365. Sorry if I've missed anything to clarify this.

Cheers

If you've got time to do it on both threads then obviously thats helpful, but if not either the bet or result will get passed across at some point. obviously it needs to be one of them before ko

Just to confirm a couple of things you dont need to place a bet daily? And If we both have say arsenal in a multiple does that count? Or if i have Arsenal single and i put that up first and Frogger has them in a accy is that allowed?

No you don't have to bet every day. Yes you can have the same bet in an accy, as long as you're not being a cunt. e.g if you're ahead and he has 40 pts on arsenal, you can't then have 40 points on arsenal and barca at 1/20.

It's all about playing fairly and It's going to be a matter of using common sense.

Which means we're fucked

What exactly was decided about in-running bets? I seem to remember one of the Letsbet lads mentioning betting overnight on the outright winner in golf events, once play has finished for the day. Strictly speaking it's in-play, but it's not actually physically being played at the time you're placing the bet. Are bets like that OK, as I may be interested in something similar on the tennis, assuming Bet365 stick outright winner markets up at the end of each day?

The way he explained it markets were set up as essentially a seperate tourney in the golf, as they are all at the same stage presumably. Unless all of the tennis round games are on the same day, thats not the case is it? So technically its in-running, whereas golf is start of round....I think :unsure
Are you just sitting there deliberately trying to find the most obscure question you can, RC ? :unsure

No idea what you mean about the golf being a separate tournament :thinking

As I understood it, the only problem with in-running bets was the fact that it's too difficult to keep track of (i.e. someone backs team A to score the next goal, and 2 minutes later they score - for anyone coming back and looking at that the next morning, they've no idea whether the player genuinely got on in time, or whether they're trying to pull a fast one).

I see no problem betting on an ante-post market in-play, as long as no matches are actually in play at the time of posting the bet.

And no, I'm not trying to find obscure questions, I'm trying to find winning bets. Go and check with Letsbet, see what they reckon over there.

I'm trying to protect your reputation here. You want to win, don't you? You don't want to go down in history as the man who led us to an even worse defeat than Yorkie 2 years ago, do you?

:lol You hide the fact you're obviously not getting any behind my reputation? I have asked the question, I can do no more

Why oh why did I drink the night I thought of this :banghead

And do not compare me to Yorkie in the same sentence again thankyou very much :help
