Newcastle should have bent over backwards to keep Benitez whether they get sold or not, Mourinho maybe for next manager if they sell but can't see Ashley giving him anywhere near the funds he'll want if he's still the owner next term.
 
Yeah it's a bet based on he sale of the club. Hope Ashley does the right thing and sells up.

Didn't have a bet today, first day i haven't had a bet since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Or somewhere close.

I'm trying to keep it to a minimum over the next couple of months as i really fancy saving and hitting the local tracks again.

I'll be at Worcester on Sunday 1st September and again on Friday 27th September. Also Cheltenham end of October (not sure on Friday or Saturday, yet) and Hereford 31st December.
If any of you fancy joining me let me know, as with the exception of Fri 27th September i'll be Billy no mates and going on me jack.
 
Just agreed for some friends to come up to stay with us for the weekend 1st September or I would have gone for that one. Just looked at the train times and it's nearly a 3 hour journey from my place but only and hour and a half to two if I get a lift to Derby which would be doable. Who are you with on 27th September mate? That's probably the only possible for me.
 
The train times put me off too. I did look at fixtures at Stratford, Warwick and Uttoxeter but i just dont fancy almost 6 hours on a train there and back. Stratford Surprised me, 52 mins there by car but 2hr 28 mins by train.
I might get the bug and travel further afield later on but for now I can do Worcester 8 mins, Hereford 32 mins and Cheltenham 38 mins. I aim to do one at least one a month from September to December.
I have to cut down on my internet betting in order to achieve this. Saving for this is a big incentive though.

How long ago was the PL meet up there? I tipped up a 25/1 winner the night before and i think you were the only one that made a point of congratulating me that day. Though my memory is a bit blurry. I think i met Swoop that day too. I dont remember to much but found the whole day a bit clicky (how do you spell it) with the rest of them.
