Porthmadog 14/5 Draw 100/30 Caernarfon 8/13

I'll be going to this match - thunder may be there as well - TC, I usually stand behind the Hen Fecws sign which is on the left hand side of the pitch as you come in - i.e. opposite the clubhouse. For Porthmadog there should be a big crowd tonight as it's a derby match that has not been played for a few years due to Caernarfon's woes.
Port, after three wins, were 4-0 down at Caersws after an hour and scored three times in 12 minutes ending losing 3-4 . We have injuries to Neil Thomas ,Ceri James is doubtful and Josh Banks is unavailable again.
Caernarfon are unbeaten, winning five of their six games. They drew away at Caersws in their opening match and have won the next five . Caernarfon side have players which have also played for Porthmadog with three of them, dangerous striker Darren Thomas, central defender Austin and a hard tackling midfielder .
This is a difficult match for Port , who are inconsistant but cam produce some great performances , I'm hoping that the derby atmosphere will bring the best out of Port but I think I'm being hopeful here.

I'm off to watch today's stage of the Tour of Britain at Pen Y Gwyryd , not far from Snowdon

Oi! This is not a gay dating site. Never mind your sordid liaisons, who have we got to bet on?

I didn't see this post 'till after the game. I was there; me and Mrs ThunderCelt sat diagonally opposite where traeth probably was, in the stand level with the penalty area at the far end from the entrance. I wore my Aldershot hat, and got accosted by a friendly Farnborough fan who was also up there on holiday.

In the end Caernarfon were deserved winners, although Port gave them a scare at pulling back to 3-2, only to eventually lose 5-2. We enjoyed our evening - seven goals (Mrs ThunderCelt lost count and needed reminders of the score), an open game, and easy parking and access at a nice ground. :thumb

The only downside was that in principle I wasn't allowed in the clubhouse, because there was a sign saying no studs :frown . Mrs ThunderCelt wasn't surprised I got away with it
