This is another example why I seriously believe this Betnod prize competition should not be based on ‘I Know The Score’.Traeth don't forget your picks.
A little Dickybird told me you didn't do them last week and got over 100 points
Miss this week and it's zilch.
A few years ago a player won top weekly prize although he had not entered many predictions that particular week but was awarded a set of more than decent computer scores.
Good luck to the guy whose name I cannot remember, but I felt peeved that he had deprived another of the money.
This week on a different IKTS mini-league another player beat me although he had not entered all his scores. That is why I am falling out of love with the IKTS set-up.
I’m also less than impressed that it takes so long to get full Bonus points. It takes 5 weeks to gain a full 20 point Bonus whereas other competitions add it immediately.
To be honest I’m 50/50 on whether I want to sign up next season.
I know full well this subject has been debated on a few occasions and that most Betnod guys are content to leave things as they are but the question must be asked is why so many past players have dropped out?
I think a double whammy next season could bring some of them back. Just having nine players is boring, we need around 20 or so.
# Change the prediction website. [Here I have experience of other prediction sites and can offer advice if needed]
# Reduce cost of entry. £30 is actually not a big deal but in some people’s minds it is a big wad of money. I run a Prediction competition for FGR supporters and have 19 predictas @ £10.
I would recommend entry is dropped down to perhaps £15 or even £10. That would encourage more fun players, who are prepared to lose a tenner but enjoy the challenge of the game, to join up.
If Betnod get enough entries then income/prizes would remain stable to present time.
