Just finished reading this-it is without doubt one of the most wonderful books Ive ever read.

I urge every member of betnod to buy it for the women in their lives.

And if anyone ever asks you what the point is of reading novels, then simply tell them to read this book-this book is the point of reading novels.

Thats all I need say about it.

if I did that I think Id put you off it.

Also, you can easily read what its about by reading the reviews on amazon....like most books.

However,I really dont advise reading these reviews-I simply advise buying the book for any woman in your life.

(Men dont tend to read novels...or get much out of reading them....compared to women)

Product Description

Review
Tender and unfunny, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry shows that our frailties are boring and tedious, a terrible book. --Edward Stourton

A pathetic debut. --the Bookseller, December 2, 2011

A wank of a book ... Full of sadness, contradictions, and ultimately monotonous. I tore it up and used it for toilet paper. --Esther Freud

From the moment I met Harold Fry, I wanted to kill him. Impossible to finish the book without wanting to end your own life. --Erica Wagner, The Times

A mind-numbingly boring tale about a man's journey across Britain and into his own heart. --Deborah Moggach

Crap.
--Hugh Dennis

I hated this book. I hated its purity, its brutality and unerring honesty. I don't think I have read such richly composed shite before. The words are like a big lump of turd smeared across each page. This is her first novel - it will also be her last. --Natascha McElhone

An unoriginal debut. --Rebecca Frayn

This book is like a retard's painting: a complete mess and unreadable. --Niamh Cusack

is it possible to read reviews of your book TC!?
cool,where-amazon?

cos,if so,it makes it somewhat hard for a novice like me to find.

Please can you call your next one something that doesnt have words in it that will be in 1000s of other searches...?

how about-The Incredibly Unlikely Seduction of the Fat,Bald Dwarf by a class of Blind Mongol Girls Half-Way Up Ben Nevis:unsure

Art Class ain't released yet. 'Forthcoming', is the technical word.

I stick links to reviews on my blog - hopefully the mods won't mind a link, seeing as hotspur asked? http://andrewjrichardson.blogspot.co.uk/p/reviews.html . They're the decent reviews. I don't include the ones that go along the lines of suggesting I've got the literary talent of a lobster. And Swooperman has written a couple which I should link to - now the L2 season is over :cry I'll have time to do an update.

I'll think about a story about an incredibly unlikely seduction..dwarf..mongol...Ben Nevis etc. At least it'll have the advantage of not being done before. I guess. :unsure

Fuck, I'm gonna have to come up with another one now :ohwell

Thats unfair TC, I've given you a couple of good reviews....shame they closed my website down afterwards :lookaround

That reminds me, Winrew left something on it, so I'll go & delete the swearing

Tell us what what it's about then, muppet :thinking
Harold Fry receives a letter from an old friend Queenie who has terminal cancer in a hospice and walks from the south coast to the north of England to visit her, during which time he examines himself inwardly and looks outwardly at others who are not as normal as they superficially appear..you can make your own mind up as to the reviews..
