This week's:

This week's:

Dundee Utd, 9/4, Stranraer 4/1, Arbroath 2/5 (not doing the Championship as I think Hearts are unbackable at 1/19 :eek). £13.19 staked, £300.07 returns, BetVic

This week's:

Aberdeen 4/6, Stranraer 7/2, Albion 11/4 (not doing the Championship again). £10.67 staked, £300.15 returns, Stan James

This week's:

This week's:

Aberdeen 4/9, Brechin 7/1, Arbroath 8/15, £19.37 staked, £300.24 returned, 14.5/1, Sky

This week's@

Aberdeen, 8/13, Brechin 7/1, Albion 6/4, £13.51 staked, £300.06 returned, 21.21/1, Corals.

This week's

Dundee Utd 10/3, Stranraer 9/4, Albion Evens, £10.66 staked, £300.19 returns, 27./16, Bet365

This week's:

Aberdeen 2/5, Stranraer 9/4, Queen's Park 8/1, £7.33 staked, £300.09 returns, 39.94/1, Bet365

I'd hoped I'd got all these covered, but sadly Queen's Park have run into form at the right time.

Morton 9/4, Queen's Park, 3/1, £23.08 staked, £300.04 returns, 12/1, Bwin

This week's:

Morton Brechin 11/2, Queen's Park, 10/3, £10.66 staked, £300.19 returns, 27.16, Bet365. It's looking like a small loss on these bets, but hopefully anteposts elsewhere (Conference) will make up the shortfall with a little to spare. I could have done without Queen's Park's late run in L2, and I'll be in trouble if Inverness look like catching Aberdeen in the Premier :crossfingers

This week's:

Forfar 3/1, Queen's Park 5/2, 13/1, £21.43 staked, £300.02 returns, Bet365.

That takes me to £308.25 spent so a loss for the season. I don't think I'll need to bet anything more though, and the 3% loss compares with a 30+% profit last year. Hopefully the loss will be more than covered by my other anteposts, including the Conference ones I've posted here. I still think anteposts is more the way I'll go, rather than match bets.

(There should have been a quote here from Thundercelt saying that " one good thing is that the Championship is nearly finished" or words to that effect.) See the next post.

I completely forgot about this thread and have only just been reading it through carefully for the first time.

This particular quote regarding the fact that Hearts had the Championship won by Xmas is something I think is well worth me picking up on.

Whenever a league I'm betting on is over very early ,far from being happy about it,I'm actually very unhappy about it.

I see it as a big disadvantage .

(Actually what I mean is I see it as making it harder to maximise profits as much as anything. But the more leagues you have available to choose from the easier it should be it seems to me.)

Yet everyone I know who does these bets always seems to see it as an advantage.

Not saying I'm right and everyone else is wrong of course because apart from anything else the proof of the pudding is in the eating etc etc.But I do find it interesting and it's one of the reasons I really wish more people would take up these bets on forums.IE so I can see what others think about such scenarios.

League 1 is proving to be a tough call atm TC.

Yeah. Some top of the table fixtures this weekend to look forward to. A consolation is that the Championship is looking sorted.

This quote from Punter is also worth commenting on.

First of all I'm sure everyone would agree with what Punter said.

But luckily no one actually needs to call anything when betting on antepost markets.( edit Not that Punter was saying otherwise of course)

If there are a few teams who can win it just bet on all of them. In the very same bet I mean if necessary or feasible.Or at the very least bet on two of them.

There are no rules to this you know.:unsure :eek

( well apart from making sure you keep back money for the end of the season obviously)

First of all well done Thundercelt, personally I don't even see that as a loss.

But in case anyone else does and is in any way put off by this outcome I'm going to try my best to explain why in fact this thread shows that you should be concentrating all your efforts on betting this way if you want to make money from soccer betting.
ESPECIALLY since you can now cash out many of your bets.

However I will do so in the next post.
