2nd. Good effort but leader bravely stuck to its guns and wasn't for passing
 
Yes only a short head, but as you say just never quite looked like passing the favourite

Really? I absolutely detest the woman. Daddy's bought her some horses to play with and taken over a ready made training facility. Even bought a Cheltenham contender. Some people have worked their bollox off their whole lives to eek out a living. It sticks in my craw that she's playing at trainers with daddy's money.
 
Apart from that, I just don't think she's a very good trainer. Taking out Kalashnikov which won at 1/7, she's had one winner out of the last 30 races, despite having favorites in some of those races.

Joking aside she was so unlucky

Got sandwiched when going for the gap a furlong out, and you can see jockey Martin Harley giving Morris on the favourite a few choice words as they pulled up
 
It was unlucky but would never have beaten the winner - may have got a place. Luke Morris did nothing wrong. He thought he was going well enough and it was getting congested ahead of him to his left so he had to pull his horse out wider for a run. He'd have had to be fitted with wing mirrors to know that Harley was coming up behind him and there was nothing untoward or dangerous about what he did in my view. I don't know whether the stewards felt otherwise.
 
Disagree mate, and Stewards backed me up and suspended Luke Morris 3 days for careless riding
 
While you're at it, you might like to have a look at the run of Maximum Effect on the same day mate. Drawn very wide and not that quickly away but settled well on its debut and ran on well at the end to get third. Will not have drawn enough notice to affect its price next time out and if drawn better and smarter away could be one to be on.
