When I saw that, I thought there must've been half a dozen games moved to the Monday, not just one
Personally I can't really see much need, there are enough other games to choose from, but I'm easy either way if anyone does want to pick anything from that match.

I suppose I was looking at it selfishly. I only look as far down as the Championship games if I can get my picks from there and the Prem, which means that I've got 25% less games to choose from this week than I would normally have. I assumed that a lot of people might have stronger views on the Preston, Man U game than they might on lesser matches and might want to include that game in their selections. Like you, I don't really care either way and I won't be picking the game myself but there seemed to be a case for keeping it in given that we include Friday/Monday games on non-standard weeks when internationals are played.Doesn't look like anyone is going to include it anyway so it's probably a moot point but it's worth bearing in mind if we go again last season because some key FA cup games might be played on Friday and Monday nights so it seems a bit silly to exclude decent matches for no good reason.

You're right, probably a good idea to decide one way or the other now before it becomes more of an important issue. I tend to pick the odd match from the Prem and the Championship, but I'm equally happy to dip into lower leagues/other countries, so doesn't really bother me, I'm happy to go with whatever everyone agrees on.

Funny because I was only telling Howson that today because you only tend to follow your own team.
The only saving grace of supporting a (once) yoyo team like City was that you got to know the lower leagues quite well (well the league they ended up in anyhow) and there was plenty of value to be found down there unlike the Prem where most knowledgeable (how hard was that cnut to spell) people know it off by heart.
you's probably won't remember but I tried to do an 'adopt a lower team' sort of thread a while back to try and get people focusing on a lower league club but it never took off because it's very hard to follow anybody other than your own club.
