this weekend fixtures are the return matches of the opening day

here are those results for what they're worth

Friday
Bangor 2-1 Connah's Quay
The New Saints 1-0 Airbus
Bala Town 4-4 Newtown
Saturday
Carmarthen 2-0 Aberystwyth
Port Talbot 1-2 Llanelli
Prestatyn 4-2 Afan Lido

my thoughts

Airbus v The New Saints
3rd v 1st , the best match of the weekend but a difficult one to pick a winner.
Airbus started this season poorly with two defeats but they are form side now scoring for fun
TNS have not been so consistant this term but if they have their scoring boots on they are a team to be feared

Connah's Quay v Bangor
In the opening game Bangor were lucky to get the three points when they were awarded an injury time penalty.
Connah's Quay have been losing recently so I can see an away win here .

Saturday
Aberystwyth v Carmarthen
A derby match that could go either way , both have had a poor start to this season , but Carmarthen played really well in last week's away win at Newtown, no bet for me

Afan Lido v Prestatyn
Lido bottom of the league and have lost their last six matches in the league and they have been leaking goals .For those six matches the goals for are 12 [ a decent return ] but goals against are 25.
Prestatyn are second in the league but were well beaten 5-0 by in-form Airbus last week.
Prestatyn win

Newtown v Bala Town
I was expecting a Newtown win last week following their win at TNS the previous week but they went to lose to Carmarthen.
Bala Town have taken time to get going this season, they are now improving whilst Newtown lose every other week in the league so they are due a win[ not much logic in that just stats]
I think Bala Town are good enough to win this one.

Llanelli v Port Talbot
Llanelli look to be back on the right track after a poor start to their season .
Port Talbot have looked poor recently but they got a draw at home to Bangor last week.
I'm not fully convinced that Llanelli are back to their old self so I'll give this one a miss unless someone can persuade me to follow Llanelli

Hello everyone,

Good post traeth.

I have gone for what is becoming my usual WPL bet- over 3.5 in the Prestatyn game. This Lido team really cannot defend, as seen again last week, conceding 3 goals in the last 7 minutes to lose spectacularly to Llanelli after leading 2-0. Meanwhile, Lido do score goals and I'd fancy them to score this weekend. Prestatyn were very poor defensively last week as well, losing 5-0 at Airbus. They have started to stutter a bit but still have some excellent players going forward. Lido's games have averaged 4.82 goals per game, whilst with Prestatyn the figure is 4.36. With the way both sides play, I can see both teams averaging over 3.5 per game come the end of the season, which would make anything above evens good value here. The price is 2.14 with Betsafe, also available 2.15 with Sporting Bet if you can get on with them.

Not much else appeals, maybe the Bangor win tonight. They have drifted to 1.95 and Connah's Quay looked poor in their 0-1 home defeat to Bala last week. I will have a think on that one.

Alright fellas. Good stuff.

I'm already over spent so i'm taking nothing here this week BUT i've got to mention your man Gareth Bale, father for the first time this week, facing a former club, he's a massive 100/30 @ Blues Sq for the score/win double. Spurs are at Southampton and the price looks big, 100/30 :eek ...he's sure to be looking for one on Sunday.

He's also 10/1 for two goals or more and 66/1 for a hat-trick.

Hi punter,

I agree the price on the Spurs win looks big, but I generally avoid any goalscorer type bet, due to the margins involved, so I'm not placed to judge that scorecast as a bet. Good luck if you take it though- I most certainly hope it comes in!

Bangor won 2-6! I didn't take the Bangor win in the end, unfortunately.

hi pg, its taken 60 minutes for your bet to come up this week in the highest scoring league in europe

Lido 1-3 Prestatyn... 30 minutes to go

Nice picks with the Prestatyn and overs both clap That overs bet has been a good find for you pg!
