World Cup 2014 Group B Betting

Good luck to all punting on the 8pm. :crossfingers Holland's 'performance' cost me two game's budget  so to stay disciplined I'm not on this one. If was I'd either oppose Spain or go for over 2.5.

I'm going for goals, goals and more goals. Spain have got to go for it, Chile only know one way to play and that's to attack, both can score goals but both can concede plenty too (Chile's defence struggled in the air v Australia and Spain's back line fell to bits v Holland).

Cue the 0-0 :embarassed

Spain have got to go for the win, certainly, not sure they necessarily have to go for a large win though. If they beat Chile, they'll know that a win against Australia will see them through (unless Chile beat Holland in which case it's a three-way tie).

With Chile the more dangerous of their two remaining group games (on paper), I'd have thought they'd be inclined to settle for a win of any kind against Chile, conceding an equaliser would do them more harm than the good that scoring a second would do them (if that makes sense :thinking). They'll have the Australia game to try to make up the GD, it may be easier and less risky for them to try to make it up in that game rather than go for broke and risk losing everything tonight against Chile.

On a non-betting note, you have to feel for Aussie sub Oliver Bosinic. Only four years ago he was playing for Aldershot, now he's reduced to performing in the World Cup :ohwell

Fair play to Chile. They deserved the win although Spain did create loads of chances.

Some people are on the pitch ?..... I was a tad premature when they put up 6 mins injury time mind

Chile will beat Holland on the 23rd to top their group going of both team's displays today.

At least there was finally a 3-2 :) with all the flippin' goals it took its time

Great display from Chile; skilful, fast and strong, what more could you ask for.
LIke Seen I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them top the group, the game against Holland should be a cracker considering the losers won't want to face Brazil who will probably win group A.

I'm currently laying Spain @ 1.4ish in their game v Australia on the 23rd, nothing whatsoever of what we've seen in the four games in this group entitles them to be so short. Australia were unlucky not to get a point v Chile and could (and maybe should) have beaten Holland. Spain, on the other hand, were clearly 2nd best in both games.

Also, both teams are out but Australia can hold their heads up high and will be looking forward to this game. Spain will most certainly not be - they'll not even want to be there. On their showings so far, would you really take 2/5 for Spain to win?

Oh, and Brazil have been far from impressive so far, I'd happily back Chile to get at least a draw if they do meet them.

I'm not 12X betting on the last games as with nearly everything sorted I'm not sire how teams will approach the games. With Cahill having two goals, and Jedinak one for Australia and no-one else netting, I've got a few pence on Jedinak as a hedge against my Cahill top scorer bet.
