for some reason when i make a nice CASH profit, he decides to delete it, maybe he cant face that i smashed it tonight, maybe he cant face i smash it nearly everytime i have a bet..
so i will put it in a way that im obviously allowed... i was 10pts up in this match!! double the amount of points that UNITED are clear at the top!

I told you, nobody is interested in how much cash you won. If you don't post up amounts, I won't delete your posts. Most semi-intelligent people would have grasped that point by now. Even a few really thick ones I would imagine.

Bit of a stupid bet to be honest. 1/5 you say? could have got 1.3 on Betfair at one stage tonight. Never mind, making silly mistakes is often the best way to learn.
 
I wouldn't call winning a grand a silly bet. I never placed the bet anyway. Don't do 1/5 shots. No matter how much of an obvious money maker it is. This one being the most obvious of them all.
Anyway night all, I'm going to look through my bets tonight, and have another quick :wank over Valencia's title winning goal. CHAMPIONS!
 
I know very well that you didn't place the bet. Just a lie (or, as you would prefer to call it, "banter"). So why do you expect us to believe that you have actually placed any of the bets you say you have? Not that I'm saying that backing odds on favs half-time full time and Rooney first goalscorer are the acts of any sort of genius you understand.

If you were so massively confident about your team lifting the title, why didn't you lie about placing a bet on them earlier in the year? You could have got a fictional 7/4 or 2/1 or something instead of a pathetic looking 1/5.

well infact i placed a bet of htft.. rooney 1st last and anytime.. (thats 4 already) then i bet chiccy to score next and a substantial bet on Manchester United to win the match.. thats 6 bets in total.. or do u want me to go through them again one by one so u can count each one as i say it..

the reason i didnt bet united at the start of the season is that, even i, did think city would run us close..

Guys, maybe we need to cut Wes some slack here - yes he might be coming across as a bit of a braggart with his gambling but at the end of the day if he's a big time winner then maybe he should be allowed to boast a little?

At least give him the chance to prove that he's a successful gambler, you lot are shooting him down before he's had a chance to back up his words. Obviously it's the internet and we have seen hundreds of losers on the forums claiming to be winners but for all we know Wes could be the exception.

Come on Wes - stick up a screenshot of your lifetime Betfair profit and shut these bitches up good and proper, yo!?
 
I appreciate what you're saying chaps but that's not the answer. Are we saying that it's ok for anyone who's bright enough to doctor a screenshot (amongst which, I don't include Wes by the way) to post bollocks?

We don't want to open the door to a situation where some toolhead posts a doctored screenshot showing that they're making a grand a week backing United, Chelsea, Arsenal and City to win every week, hf/ft and Rooney first and anytime goalscorer and some poor gullible idiot will believe it's an easy way to make money (even though we all know they will lose in the long term) and puts their kid's christmas present money on it.

Instead, you have to use a bit of logic and ask yourself if a bloke who's making money hand over fist would really be making such a fuss from placing six bets and winning just over a hundred quid :ohwell (there, I've said it now).

This is yet another instance of you failing pitifully to grasp the obvious. You weren't actually born a champion. No, what actually happened is that you woke up one day and decided to follow the biggest football club in England. Far from making you a "champion" it shows a tendency to follow the crowd and lack of ability to think for yourself in my view, although I can obviously see the benefits in that you are able to claim kudos for something that requires no input, skill or effort from yourself. Mmmm, not a bad idea when you think about it. In fact, I've decided that I am now a United fan as of today.

We will probably win the league by five points and I feel sorry for all those wankers who aren't me, you and Yorkie.

One of the downsides to being a pre-Premier League red unfortunately. We have to put up with these new generation morons who never experienced the barren years. The memory of winning nothing year after year kind of grounds you, even after the 20 years of success we've had since.

Having said that, most of these classless fuckwits would be nobheads whether they supported United or not. United's success just gives them a platform to demonstrate it.

It does my fucking head in.
 
haha!! i was born in Manchester! my old man was taking me to matches from aged 4 upwards... and as a kid i did always have a soft spot for Sheffield Wednesday! but i was born and bred as a RED! if i was born in blackpool i would prob support blackpool!!
i cant understand why people think everyone who's a United fan is a glory hunter.. i didnt even know what glory was when i first started supporting United.. as for waking up one day and supporting United, that wasnt the case.. i was born supporting United!!

Every last one of 'MY' betting accounts is no longer in my name.. i use a variety of different peoples accounts! so whether i put up screenshots or not i will get questioned! im not sure what i am and am not allowed to say and what will/willnot get me in the shit! its a delicate situation!

As for being a 'big time winner' i wouldnt exactly call myself that.. i lose some ridiculously big bets sometimes (one that springs to mind was the £1100 i had on United to beat Inter at the san siro a few years back. the match ended 0-0) (sorry for putting amount in odm but i couldnt tell the story otherwise)

Im like every other gambler.. some days great, some days awful.. a win of a ton or loss of a ton is neither here nor there. its more about the way i win it!
The only thing i can do is carry on posting bets and showing a profit. (eventhough i do bet a lot just before the off so dont have time to put them on the forum quick enough so u will never reap the full benefit)

another thing is that i bet the majority of my bets in cash in the bookies (3 of which in my local area i am now banned from!)
i use betfair mainly to lay back any decent acca's i may have going at the time and to cover my bets that are yielding a decent profit. so because of that my betfair account is probly not as impressive as you may think.

It really doesnt matter to me whether anybody thinks im a shit gambler, im clearly not, and although i do occasionally 'big' myself up, possibly a bit to much, i do believe i am good at what i do!

I think Fergie played it quite cautiously last night. Blackburn away has been a pig of a fixture for us over the years and defeat would have handed some encouragement back to Citeh. The team he put out was designed not to lose and I'm sure he hoped that a bit of quality would be the difference. It turned out to be the case so all credit to the master again.

I thought Valencia was world class again last night but the rest of the team are still pretty workmanlike (compared to previous years anyway).

It's quite staggering and shocking that a team in transition, that has been slated all season long as Fergie's worst team in 20 years (a point I don't necessarily disagree with) might win the League with one of the best points hauls we've ever had.


On another point, I watched the Monday Night Football programme all the way through last night and I was really impressed with Red Nev's contribution. Really informative, fair and doesn't hold back with his praise/criticism of individual players. I know people won't like him after his United years but as a pundit, top quality imo.
 
i agree with u Wayne, again, about Valencia.. He is without doubt one of the best players in europe at this moment in time..
As u said, this is a United team in transition, and the current crop of players can only improve together.. i think j evans has improved massively since after the new year along with de gea. Still unsure about Jones, but i am fully confident about him becoming a great player as i dont doubt Fergie one bit, and he recently said that Jones is a future United captian.
Gary Nev is a fantastic pundit, and although you could tell he was buzzin his chops off last night after that victory, he held it together. Jamie Redknapps near enough been fucked off because of Nevilles arrival, and it was about time, cos he is a clueless cunt at the best of times!
I also think, although Rafael is occasionally out of position and rash with some tackles, that he will become a fantastic right back for us over the coming years!
 
All of the kids have great potential wes and it'll be interesting to see which, if any, go on to be the real deal. My jury's still out on the twins as they're like headless chickens at times but time will tell I guess.

We've probably enough in the PL to keep competing (although that'll depend on what Citeh do in the summer) but we're miles away in Europe and until we get a new Roy Keane, I think that will always be the case. We're never going to outskill Barcelona, Real Madrid, Basel, etc :lol so the only feasible way of beating them at the moment is to outmuscle them and disrupt their style of play. We haven't got strong enough players to do that right now - the days of having a solid spine in the team like Schmeikes, Bruce, Pallister, Keano, Ince, Sparky and Choccy are long gone.
