You really do struggle to grasp things don't you Wes? The answer to your question is no and the reasons are....

a/ You have only said that you are thinking of placing the bet, not that you have actually placed it. Same mistake as you made the last time. Do you understand that now or do I have do have another go at getting it through your thick skull?

b/Gambling forums don't like people bragging about cash and that is why you'll see them quoting "points" in place of actual amounts.

And you might like to get someone to explain this bit to you because you don't seem to be able to understand it (have you got a friend who's not quite as dumb as you or someone else you might be able to help you to understand?)

i keep noticing u saying u r not a city fan.. who do u support then.. i dnt have a points system, i bet what i want.. not a fixed amount per point.. sometimes i will bet £124.83, depending on the price and how much is in my account.. i have no fixed agenda bettingwise... except bet and win.

Who I support is none of your business and not relevant to this thread.

You don't actually have to have a points system to use it to demonstrate what you're betting on in a forum. I'm not going to waste my time explaining the use of points systems to you though, as you obviously can't grasp it. You just carry on posting as you are and I'll just carry on deleting it as necessary.:thumb

And you might as well argue with a brick wall than argue with ODM because firstly, he is substantially more intelligent than you and secondly, he's the most stubborn fucker on here even when he's wrong.

As iv discovered, gamblers have to bet in points. So iv worked out a points system to a cash equivalent. Each point will be worth £17.43p.
So my bets for tonight's match involving Blackburn and the champions are as follows.
1.68 pts on Utd 5-1 + 2-0.
3.43 pts on Rooney anytime/1st and last goal.
And 6.76 pts on Utd ht/ft.

The only points system that really matters after all is the 5pts clear we will be tonight.

the point of the point system(pun intended) is that you do not quote the value of the point

I've held back from posting on this thread recently as its frequented mainly by united followers .
In my experience there appears to be more united followers that have a blinkered view , it could be due to the large number of followers that they have.
I must admit that not all united followers are blinkered , in the last 20 years I've met three who are not.
When you point out that they are blinkered they either point out that they are joking/winding you up or the majority take offence.

Why do you not quote the value of a point.. the whole point of gambling is winning CASH, i love nothing more than finding out a punter has took a large amount of cash of the bookies.
but if u say you have won 100 points, it means nothing as it might only be a quid a point or 50p a point, which is a shite win.. id much rather know in cash value as thats what we all bet in!!!
if i walked into laddies and wrote 5 pt win on my bet i would get laughed at!!
and if they tried to pay u in points i think u would have summut to say.

a point system makes more sense than cash value , a £50 bet to some people would be an extravagant bet whilst others place £50 bets daily , its so that we can make a comparison , here is a brief example of the point system I use

10 point bet is my max bet ...a bet I only rarely make , about twice a year
5 point bet is my normal confidence bet
3 point bet is when I place a double
2 point bet is when I'm given a tip here on a sport I don't normally bet on

Blinkered is the wrong word. I support Man Utd. So yes I am going to occasionally be biased to them. But So are scousers towards Liverpool and Geordies towards Newcastle. That's what supporting your team is about.
I agree with the one eyed bit. But that was an accident with a glass bottle and has no baring towards football.
As for the points system. I suppose it makes it fairer if in a competition with other gamblers to see who has the best level stakes profit. But sometimes I will throw a bet down of say £20 and then before the off throw another £20 down if confident. I'm at no point thinking of a points profit I'm thinking of the cash profit.
I can't be araed talking about point betting anymore as its ridiculous.
