Antepost Soccer Betting/35% r.o.i

Russias exit is good news for those people who are hoping to see me lose

One of the many thing that I have learnt from betting forums is that the only people I want to see losing are the bookies and I don't like it when fellow forum members lose , so I'm hopeful that you will come out a winner.

Thanks traeth-I didnt actually have you down as being in the "hope the cunt loses" camp.

And,as I have previously said,I will have 1 or 2 interesting(I think) things to say about these kind of threads when people like Scotty get back to me.

er,traeth, you do realise that the bets on this thread are not my own personal bets?So that, whether these bets win or lose doesnt affect me or the bookies. The only identical bets(as far as I remember) are Lille to win the French League and Warwickshire Derbys/Yorks/Wigan.
I also had Russia to be kod in the QFs but I may or may not have hedged it with Greece to win.

I also have money on most of the same teams to win Euro 2012.But,I dont necessarily expect to make a profit on a tournament such as this as there is very little value for obvious reasons.

Prices/Bookies to follow

accas

Torres top scorer
Notts cc d1
Kent/Yorks cc d2
Wigan superlge trophy/grand final
Hamilton form 1
Spain/Brazil Mens Olympics

= 4 bets @ 2 = 8 pts

As above except Munczarin/the Croation striker top scorer instead of torres
and no Mens olympics
2 bets @ 1 = 2 pts

As the first bet except Gomez instead of Torres
4 @ 1 = 4 pts

Gomez,Middx ccd2,Kent/Yorks,Wigan,Hamilton,Spain/Brazil
4 @ 0.5pts = 2 pts

NB one of the main problems not having enough of a bank left is that I would otherwise have done these bets e/w but, then again getting 30-40 pts back aint gonna be enough so win only it is

I need to get some bets of my own on so the above bets are from William Hill who are 7-2 Torres and 16s the Croation

:)

Now the question is this-does anyone really think I would have made such a blunder with my own bets!?

No,of course I wouldnt.

:thinking

So how many attempts on here do you think you will need Hotspur to show us how easy it is to do whatever it was you said was easy to do? Just thought I'd ask in case I jump to any wrong conclusions.

I dont have any idea what your question has got to do with your selection of my quote?

Before I can answer your question I need to define what I mean by "easy".

So,Colbro,just so we are clear,

IF at the start of a football season,I started doing antepost accas with a target roi of 10% only,I would expect to achieve that 9 years out of 10.

And,since,I dont use stats to do antepost bets,I would expect to achieve that with a maximum of 100 hours reading etc per year

Therefore, logically,Id say it would take me 10 attempts,9 of which would have to win,to show you how easy it is.

I trust that answers your question?

On post 2 of this thread (made on Oct 16 2011) you said you would give us advice on how to make a life changing sum of money at the end of the season when you had made your 35%

I just wondered when we were going to get this advice as I would rather like to make a life changing sum of money.

Oh,I see-thanks for clearing that up Colbro.

I am sure you would like to make a life-changing sum of money but its clear to me from the tone of your posts that you do not believe that I myself am capable of making a life-changing sum of money.

Since,if that is the case,.it would be a waste of my time giving you any help in the matter, let us get this clear once and for all:

Do,you,Colbro, believe that I myself have won a life-changing sum of money over the last few years?

As for the 35% question-please can you let me know if you are being deliberately obtuse?*

You conveniently leave out the fact that I said ideally my first bets would be in the New Year-by which I meant Jan/Feb.

And,of course, you seem to not understand that by abandoning the thread when I did,it immediately became well nigh impossible to make anything like 35% once Id resumed it.(unless I did just 2 or 3 big bets).

Apart from anything else I was re-starting with an 8% loss and at a time when I was unable to do accumulators.

I am going to repeat this a few times as it appears people dont get it:

I specialise in accumulators.

I very much hope you understand that,Colbro.cos out of the kindess of my heart I am now, after all, going to give you Lesson No. 1 in how to win a life-changing sum.

How To Make a Life-Changing Sum-by hostpur

1) Do accumulators-spend your whole bank doing them if necessary.Forgot all those namby-pamby experts on forums and in books saying,"ohhhh, you might lose your whole bank, you may never ever win".Fuck em.They will never win big.

But,only ever do antepost accumulators-never any other kind.

Now Colbro the rest of it would have been about the no. of legs in your accas, the timing, the % of your bank, how much your bank should be in relation to your circumstances, what is a life-changing win,the circumstances that are particularly good for making such an attempt-and those occaissions when you should leave well alone.
Plus examples that lean heavily on my own experiences.and a few things other things,no doubt.

However thats all by the by because you and everyone on here require PROOF before you believe anything I say and a losing thread is seen as PROOF that I am not a successful gambler.

Too Bad.

*this may be the wrong word,I dont look them up

My My such passion.

And very defensive too. You have not done what you said you would do in post 2 - Have you? These were tips we could follow with confidence.

And it's no good throwing your toys out of the pram either

Post 7 in Oct get on PSG
Post 8 in Oct St Johnstone
Post 11 in Oct - sod it who wants to wait till Feb - 4 way accie

Wait till Jan/Feb?

Ive no idea where you get the idea that I am defensive.

As for your weak attempt to look clever by repeating something I said on another thread,it helps if there is any passion in my post.
In fact I lost any passion I may have had in telling people about these bets quite some time ago.

Throwing my toys out of the pram!!?? I hope that remark does not indicate that you think I am in any way annoyed by any of this?
Because,if it does,I assure you you could not be more wrong.Indeed,I welcome comments such as yours.

Now,as to the point of your post.

You have pointed out that I started giving bets/tips before the ideal time.
Forgive me,I actually havent been up very long-a couple of hours-and need more coffee. Please could you let me know what point youre making? Thanks

btw,I suppose its possible that I havepreviously said I am passionate about antepost betting/telling people about them and this will now be held against me-in general I consider telling people about these bets as being a waste of time. However, occaisionally someone listens and that makes it worthwhile

Okie dokie,Ive now had my all-important 2nd cup of coffee and I see that you are merely pointing out the discrepancy between my stated ideal starting time and my actual starting time.

Its actually irrelevant.Theres nothing wrong with placing bets before the ideal time so long as they are not a big % of your bank in total.

The first bet I personally placed last season was in late June(from memory)!

It was with bet 365 and I am going to tell you what it was which I hope is ok since it lost?

It was West Ham,Huddersfield and Crawley to be promoted and PSG to win the French League at 4-1.total odds 50-1

The point about stating the ideal starting time is that to start later than February is far from ideal. And to start later than February with an 8% loss and NO positions to hedge is harder still.

I will explain why. After February the bookies and, crucially, the bettors start closely examining run-ins and betting accordingly
.
As the number of games runs out any advantage I have also runs out.

So,anyway,Colbro, the important thing is that once you start you need to constantly hedge any favourable position that arises.

In the case of St Johnstone the odds of 50-1 had already given me a favourable position. But,unluckily, they were paired with Hearts in the 3rd round.

Now Colbro, what do you think I would have done if I were still doing the bets at that time?

Yes,thats right-jolly well done Sir-By Jove I think youre getting it!I would have placed a bet on Hearts!

And,um,who won the Scottish Cup last season-Im afraid I lost interest once St Johnstone had been kod?

The only thing I believe from your replies is that you had a second cup of coffee before replying.

The best thing you can do is forget this thread and start a new one and call it your 2012-2013 thread. On this thread just post your bets and be clear about them. Start with bet1 and go on... If a bet is a hedge then explain so... and continue.

Until then just accept that noone believes you and deal with it.

Deal with it-deal with it Colbro!?:lol

Well, look,I am very, very grateful for your advice and I will try very, very hard to come to terms with the fact that neither you nor anyone else(on betnod) believes me.

I must confess it is a big blow ,following on from my fathers death and the agony of dealing with my mothers Alzheimers and my immense guilt that ensued, but, hopefully, those experiences will,in time, help me come to terms with this crushing news.

I have given some thought to your 2012/13 suggestion -however the problem is that I genuinely believe that it would take several years to demonstrate any ability I may or may not have. And, you know,by that time my book will, hopefully, have been published and,Id much rather that that suffices.(Funnily enough,in my book I dont actually make any claims so far as ability is concerned-I merely give an account of what bets I did and the outcome)

And,thank you,Colbro, for believing that I did indeed make that second cup of coffee.
That means such a lot to me.
I used Gold Blend-about 1/1/2 teaspoons and 1 spoon of Silver Spoon Half Sugar(all the taste but 1/2 the calories)and,semi-skimmed milk.
(just in case noone else believes me).
