Cheltenham 2020

In the Handicaps would be involved if Death Duty ran in one of the Chases

Grade 1 Winning horse looks on his way back after a long lay off

Is 33-1 for the Ultima & 20-1 in the Stable Plate

It's nastier than the WHO is letting on, it's already cancelled Seria A and 6 nations matches.

The data shows strong containment is working in China to halt the spread - the same has to happen here if we get an outbreak imo. It's basically betting on will the UK get an exponential increase in cases over the next 2 weeks.

Supposedly there is a case in Nothern Ireland and the person passed through Dublin. If there is talk about closing borders etc then I think it will be a strong possibility that it will be cancelled cause if they stop the irish coming over then that would be a major factor.

Think meeting would only be in doubt if a significant number of deaths due to the virus occur in this country or Ireland

1st case in Gloustershire this weekend and a couple more in Ireland. I still think it will get called off.

Just in case it doesn't i've had my first bet, a small punt on this treble..

Solo(Triumph Hurdle) Shishkin(Supreme Novice Hurdle) & Benie Des Dieux(Mares Hurdle) All To Win @ 33/1

Looks like today is the day we will find out if the Cheltenham Festival will go ahead and if football matches are going to have to be cancelled or played behind “closed doors”. Big Boris is meeting his posse to decide the UK’s next move in the battle against CV

That betfair market has been fascinating either way. Whoever decide to run it is a genius.

Scenes no matter what the result. Loudest roar ever or the end of the world is nigh.

Or there is always the halfway house "run it behind closed doors" option :lol

But the overall message is carry on as normal. they can hardly say that today and them cancel all events tomorrow so it looks like it will go ahead

Any tips from the experts? On Asterion Forlonge as ODM recomends

Backing Appreciate It and A Plus Tard as a double - champion bumper and Ryanair

My early idea of value bets for March

Tuesday

Arkle-Brewin upastorm & Global Citizen..currently 10-1 & 16-1

Both been declared [2.10pm]

Current odds now 11-2 & 14-1:crossfingers

Cheltenham Gold Cup - MONALEE at 25's. Certainly a lively outsider and for me should be in the 10's - 14's range

Supreme Novices - Gone with 2 in the festival opener, in the shape of ALLART at 20's and SOVIET PIMPERNEL at 33's. Both have a fair bit to find officially, but both capable of running nice races. At the other end of the market, I do like Asterion Forlonge over Shishkin.

Ultima Chase - VIVAS - Could do with it drying out a bit, but does hold some fair course form at 66's.

Champion Bumper - ISREAL CHAMP - Looks a decent galloping type and whilst could get done for speed, certainly looks a tough sort at 9's.

I've got 5 in an ew Canadian but will be taking each race as they come with the rest of the meeting

Tues 1.30: SHISHKIN @ 11/4 (5 Places)

Tues 4.10: BENIE DES DIEUX @ 4/6

Thur 2.50: DUC DES GENIEVRES @ 20/1

Thur 5.30: FINGERONTHESWITCH @ 16/1 (5 Places)

Fri 1.30 : SOLO @ 3/1

I'll be having a further each way bet on FINGERONTHESWITCH closer the time.

Good luck all
