Despite a few injury worries i think that ROMA can take 3pts off TORINO in Serie A this evening .

Although the European leagues have came to a halt this weekend i've had a trawl through Brazil's Serie A which still has 4/5 games left to play .

Not a great deal to find h2h for this one but the one that caught the eye due to league form and injuries/suspensions is ATHLETICO-PR to beat SPORT RECIFE .

For what it's worth the h2h since 1999 is 4-1-0 but the last meeting in this fixture was back in 2009.

League wise ATHLETIC-PR are sitting in 9th and it's their home form that has helped them stay in the top half of the table , they are 9-4-3 at home but those 3 defeats came against sides currently in 1st , 4th and 5th [they were down to 10 men after 46 mins in the defeat v top of the table CRUZIERO when 2-1 up ] . They are only 4-3-10 away from home but SPORT RECIFE are even poorer away from their place with an away record this season of 2-3-1 and have scored only 8 away goals conceding 28 and have taken only 2pts off teams currently in the top 10 .
They have picked up only one point from their last 10 aways

Significantly ATHLETICO have a full squad to choose from while SPORT have a couple more regulars out through injury [inc striker Leonardo ] and forward Azevedo is suspended.

League form - BARCELONA are in 2nd spot in La Liga with a home record of 4-0-1 while Seville are in 5th with an away record of 3-0-2 which , on the face value looks impressive but those 3 wins came against sides currently in 12th , 18th and 19th in the table and both losses came v sides currently in the top half of La Liga.

Despite the distraction of Messi appearing to doubt his future i can only point to the strength of both the historical and current league stats to favour another BARCELONA win in this fixture .

Hopefully the 1.25 on offer from Betvictor will still be available after the CHELSEA game ....

NICE have home record of 3-2-3 with 2 of those 3 defeats coming against the 3rd and 4th placed sides .
RENNES have an away record of 2-3-3 , one of those wins came v the 16th placed side.

Hopefully have some team news tomorrow .

While the home side do have 3 out through injury they will have a couple back from suspension .
SCHALKE still have a injury list as long as your arm with at least 6 injured and central midfielder MARCO HOGER suspended for this game.

The h2h , injuries and the effect of a new coach tips it in favour of STUTTGART and the odds of 2.25 appeal but should i err on the side of caution ...mmm...yes i'll bottle it and go for the 1.68 from BETVICTOR with the 0 Asian Handicap.

Sorry i missed posting the selection for Saturday , for what it was worth it was a stright win bet on Arsenal to win ..

Today it's hard not to fancy the chance's of GENOA at home to ROMA.

H2H - 5-0-1 to the home side since 2008.

League form - GENOA are 3rd while ROMA are 6pts in front of them in 2nd.
GENOA are 3-2-2 at home while ROMA are 3-1-2 away from the Capital dropping points at sides around them [ 1st , 5th and 6th placed teams]

GENOA are stronger away from home but don't score or concede too many at home [scored 6 and lost 5 goals in 7 homes]

While the h2h points to the home win i think i'll play it safe as the odds on the +0.5 Handicap are worth taking .
