I Know The Score 2014/15 - Paid Entry

Well it was good while it lasted:lol

Villa should have wrapped this game up but they've got into the mindset of a draw is a better result for us and come unstuck.

What a free kick from Benteke, come on now ya cnuts don't fall into the same mindset again.:crossfingers

Looks like Old Tomcat has forgot to put tonights pick in his selections.

First time ever that I've missed a prediction.
Forgot all about it - 11th & extra match this gameweek.
Blast

I've a feeling that might go in your favour Tom :)

Once again though, no sign of an update from them since Sunday. Poor.

I emailed my IKTS contact at 3 minutes past midnight complaining scores required updating.
Got up late this morning and they were.
And no I was given an automated forecasts of 1-0 home win and lost another 10 points.

With so few weeks to go Mr Howson has extended his lead to 275 points over the next player. He also had the highest score this week so we must conclude his good form is taking him to an almost unassailable title championship.
The Old TomCat has had a couple of less than grand weeks (actually bloody awful) so is now in a dog fight to secure than runner-up prize in the BPL.
The Old TomCat has missed out on one of the challengers for the Betnod Champions League as 'the best of the rest'
Congratulations however to Howson, Kop66, Cleggy & Mick Sorahan.

I'd put up the league placings, but don't seem able to do as professional job as our chairman - so will leave it for him to do tonight

How does the Champs league work now Newman, is it 1 versus 4 and 2 versus 3 this week, whoever gets highest score in each match up gets to the final - I know its probably been explained by Punter but I cant seem to find anything about it.

With regards to the BPL, I dont think its over by any means yet, theres still 7 games to go and some of the fixtures are now becoming very difficult to predict, with teams fighting to stay in the Premiership form goes out of the window. Theres 5 games this week where its quite feasible for any of the 3 results to occur, and if somebody gets a bit of luck they can be right back in contention.

Newman and punter, ignore the above ive been through the early pages of this thread, and now found that its 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 over 2 seperate sets of fixtures in a couple of weeks time, great idea to do it that way, gives all 4 of us a chance even if we have a bad 1st leg.

Good stuff Howson and well done. Confirmation of the dates and rules..

Betnod Champions League

The CL group stage will run for 6 weeks from Gameweeks 21-26. The top 4 from the group then qualify for the two legged semi finals, being played in Gameweeks 29 and 31.

1st would play 4th and 2nd would play 3rd in head to head games (any banker bonus included) to win a place in the Final.

The CL final will be played as a head to head game (any banker bonus included) in Gameweek 33

(In the event of a tie in the league or in the semi finals, a head to head in the following gameweek, will decide who goes through. In the rare event of a further tie here, it would be decided by who sits highest in the BPL league at present time, as it would should the final be a tie).

£100 to the winner, £40 to the runner up.

I'm a bit on the busy side tonight but i'll do my best to update all the tables tomorrow night

Do you all know what is so frustrating is when a player remembers to enter his forecasts while another neglects to do so and the computer generated score gives him a better points total. This week for instance I entered most of my forecasts and got a miserable -15 pts but another player in my other mini-league failed to enter any forecasts and got 35 pts – that's 50 more than me!!!
Gameweek 26 results and computer generated scores:
Arsenal 4-1 Liverpool [1-0], Everton 1-0 Soton [1-1], Leicester 2-1 West Ham [1-1], Man Utd 3-1 A Villa [2-0],
Swansea 3-1 Hull [2-0], WBA 1-4 QPR [1-0], Chelsea 2-1 Stoke [2-0], Burnley 0-0 Tottenham [1-1],
Sunderland 1-0 Newcastle [2-1], C Palace 2-1 Man City [1-1], A Villa 3-3 QPR [1-0]
I've tried to analyse how and why the computer gives such scores – IKTS won't tell me. They don't appear to be the most popular predictions or half time scores. Perhaps somebody on this site might give come up with a probable solution.

Agreed, it's a daft rule, however they work it out???

The final Champions League table show's that there's a guaranteed scouser playing in the final!

Howson (1) v Mick Sorahan (4)
Kop66 (2) v Cleggy's (3)

Spot on, any player not putting on a prediction should get -20 points per match.

Dropped to third on table although still 2nd on points.
Gameweek 28 will be a bad 'un for me - I'm off on the FGR coach to Gateshead at 7am and won't have chance to read the morning's newspapers for last minute catch-up on team details.
Sadly it looks like that Cheltenham will drop out of the Football League, so a few of us will have to change our team's flag. Will almost certainly be ARSENAL, unless of course Forest Green managed to win the final play off position.

Well a good start at home to Cambridge tonight, so maybe.

Peeved off that I'm missing game. Forgot about until too late.
When Cheltenham lost 3-0 at home to Plymouth, I said before the game and while the players were warming up that they appeared to lack motivation.
Against Stevenage they lost 1-0 but their attitude had dramatically improved. They played well.
Therefore I am not totally convinced that Cheltenham are doomed to non-league football.
And with a new manger who knows.

3-1 win to Cheltenham takes them up one place but still in the relegation zone.
Hartlepool who are in the mix scored an 80th minute goal to secure a point that keeps them ahead of Cheltenham.
Cheltenham to remain in football league - yessssssssss
