I Know The Score 2015/16 - Free Entry

Thats a good point about the 20 points for a draw Slick, id agree that needs getting rid of.

If you dont fill your scores in, its automatically -50 pts for that particular week, and any banker bonus points you have are lost.

For the first time ever I agree with you Howson.

Tell you the truth I'd also get rid of the Banker Bonus and Guarantee chips, so it's a game based on pure prediction skill, but I doubt that will happen because they give everybody a chance of getting back into the game albeit luck.

I like the banker chip but do agree on getting rid of the guarantee chip.

I'm torn between the x2 or x3 depending on where the team sits in the league. I'd prefer if it was say

x1 for previous seasons top 5 in league
x2 for previous top 6 - 10
x3 for previous top 11 - 15
x4 for previous 16 & 17 and newly promoted teams

Pure prediction luck is what you mean Slick.

Not really, I'd hazard a guess most of this yrs top 10 predictors were also in the previous yrs top 10 and before that, so a certain amount of skill does come into it.

I don't like it because a prediction is a prediction and should be treated as such, when people are chasing they tend to go for the tricky X3's and come unstuck, I've been there plenty of times myself lol
This yr hasn't been so bad because of the nature of the league, a X2 is just as likely to come in or fail as a X3 but in the main chasing and having to go for X3's can be costly.

If you're going to keep the bankers then I'd keep them as they are because it's took me 3 yrs just to realise how important they are, for yrs I was picking them not realising the bonus is incremental upto 20 points @ week 4
Making that X1-X4 and the incremental 5 points would just make it too confusing imo.

I'd go for something like that if they scrapped the Incremental 5 points, which only seems to serve those at the top of the league that can afford to go for the X2's

And to prove my point about the confusion, if anybody not playing or new to IKTS can understand the above, give yourself a pat on the back and carry on revising for that quantum physics exam.

I did know but I've slept since then, Newman will come in with the answer

What does the awards / medals all mean ?

" You are awarded a yellow Hotshot badge for each game week you are in the top 10% of points scorers in that week. The number beside the badge indicates the total number you have been awarded in the season.

You are awarded the blue Consistency badge for being in the top 10% of the Player Championship leaderboard for five or more consecutive game weeks."

Personally I think they are a waste of space unless there is some sort of points reward. It is getting that balance correct that would be interesting. Too many points and it could kill game for the lesser players.
I would suggest perhaps a one-off 10 pt award for every yellow hotshot and perhaps a one-off 30 pts award for a blue.

How would you guys address this issue?

I must be the fcuking unluckiest person there's ever been in this comp, how the fcuk was that a pen.

It cost me too Slick, possibly the £50 Super Saturday

I notice that Lyn Gardiner has secured the highest score this week, so congratulations to her but am I right in thinking that she also secured highest score just a few weeks ago. If so thank goodness she is so inconsistent.

TalkSport Review
Looking further afield, the average score this week was an unexciting 23 points, influenced by an admirable 50% of predictions being correct. A lucky 46% of you played your Banker correctly, while 28% of you took Insurance on the Stoke City vs. Southampton game. Finally, congratulations to our leaderniallbrown49 on 1,705 points and also a special mention for this week's top scorerSimon Ewings who scored 165.
