Brilliant Slick, nice one. I haven't been round everybody yet but i know a couple are defo out from last season. I could be losing up to 6 but i've got a couple of newbies on the cards.
If anybody knows anybody who might be interested then please invite them.
No worries at all if you can't interest anyone else, i'm just trying to encourage you as the competition entrants reached a good number last season (24). I'm just a little worried that if we don't get 23 then we'd have to lose that 3rd Super Saturday.
On the flip side 26 entrants would be enough for a 4th Super Saturday and anything over 26, up to 30 would boost the existing competition pots. Even introducing a 4th place prize in the Betnod Premier League.
I'll point out now that there's nothing in this for me or anybody else unless we win a pot, everything that gets paid in gets paid out.
Last season £720 was paid in and paid back out again in 12 different prize pots.
I've been running this from work for about 8 years now (originally only 9 entrants) and you wont find anyone who hasn't been paid their winnings.
One last thing for now, the most i'd ever run this competition to is 32 entrants. That won't happen this season but long term 32 regular entrants would be perfect. 32 would see at least 15 different prize pots including prize money for the Betnod Champions League semi finalists.
I'm waffling now because i've had a midweek drink but lets start by finding at least 23 of us

I'm going to mention the League winner once more because I think it should be then highest prize of all, I know I mentioned it last yr too but you responded that the League winner usually wins prizes on the way but I've just been referring to my stats and I find that not to be the case, over the last 5 yrs only one winner has benefitted from that scenario.
I'd say to get more people involved we need to make the winners prize more enticing, with the extra entrants I reckon the subsiduary prizes (I think that's how you spell it) would be pretty much the same anyhow.

No, it's a loser.
The competition gets a little bit tougher every year, if i load the top end up, i'll end up with about 10 players in three years time. I'll be constantly looking for new players.
Personally, i dont think i could win this league again so i'd want there to be other side competitions about to keep me interested. Decent enough prize funds because i know i can hit some form for a weekend or a few weeks, but not quite over the whole season. I'd guess at least half the other entrants would feel the same about this. I know they do at my works. Like me, they want other decent pots to fall on.
You should re-do that stat with those that have finished 2nd and 3rd over the past 5 years too.
Sorry Slick, you Howson and Tomcat and have all mentioned changing it in the past (probably because you've all won it) but i aint loading the top end up to heavy, just to suit the pro's. I've got to keep it so that it favours all levels of entrants, so that they come back.

Yes I did query the winnings but am happy with your explanation, especially so knowing that all the money is returned to the players.

Another one of my mates, actually we are both FGR season ticket holders who sit next to each other at home games, wants to enter competition. I only introduced VoodooBluesMan to Predictor last season where he did fair to okay, although he beat me in the Euro 2016 competition.
Unfortunately for both of us we play under a Cheltenham flag because FGR have never been a Football League club and Predictor have not issued us one.
