I Know The Score 2016/17 - Paid Entry

To be fair it's probably possible to work around it when it gives someone a highest weekly score or a Super Saturday prize, you can just say that only players who actually submitted their predictions are eligible to win it. The problem is more in terms of the overall table, as you're not going to go producing your own table every week, knocking off 100pts here, 150pts there for every player who forgot their predictions one week and ended up getting scores assigned automatically.

It's a tough one and to be fair Howson has never missed a week in his life, I'd wish he'd miss more though because he's been as nice as pie with me in work today with the guilt:lol

And to be fair I genuinely believe he never played his banker bonus tonight for fear of winning it and looking a cnut, he showed me his sky super 6 today for this week and the chances are he would probably have put his BB on a 2-0 Everton win like a lot of others because he did have that score entered, all his other predictions bar 2 were correct so I don't think the actual score he has would have been wide of the mark.

He's even offered to not take the CL money if he wins any which speaks volumes of the fella, I've told him to take it and if you still feel racked with guilt just give it me:wasnme

Spot on although we said the same thing last year and nothings been done about it, we need to go over the rules and amend them for next season.

Bloody hell, anyone would think he'd already won the thing :lol Still 2 weeks to go, I for one have plans to hunt him down and steal his place from him :naughty

I'd say it's a fairly safe bet he's deliberately not used his banker, thought as much yesterday when he didn't use it on Spurs v Stoke, bearing in mind he only had 2 games he could use it on, found it pretty hard to believe he'd turn down Spurs v Stoke to use it on Leicester v Liverpool.

I could, Spurs had just been tanked by Genk and are known to fcuk up after a Thursday nights game, whereas Liverpool have had 2 weeks break, and Leicester have played 3 games in just over a week, just sacked the manager and look relegation fodder plus they were a x3 whereas Spuds were x2
I know we don't know how Leicester would react with Renieri going (well we do now with hindsight lol) but of the two games I would have seen Liverpool as a tempter if I had to choose between the two games.

A lot of discussion in posts above this week so I'll say nowt except it be a decent high scoring gameweek that will up the average scores for most players.

Still two weeks to run in this group stage but the top five look good even though those players in joint 6th must not think they are out of contention for the cash prize.

Hmm, little bit of reverse psychology there Newman, you're not fooling me :lol

I'm down in 12th and I've not given up hope, there are still 2 weeks left. 95pts to make up in 2 weeks is far from impossible.

Player of Month: February

Congratulations Slick on becoming Malvern League's Player of Month for February.
Don't let it go to your head, there is no money in this fine achievement and the real test is in the main competition.

I've just posted top of table and cheerfully noticed that THE OLD TOMCAT is included. Didn't think I did well this month so somewhat surprised to see that name listed. Hopefully with the games coming up thick and fast I can move up table with astonishing good points score to retain my title. (Cocky bar-steward ain't I)

Regret TalkSport have not posted their Gameweek 24 Review.

A fairly low scoring week reflected with Malvern dropping down the TalkSport Championship.
Only one player in top 10 managed a score above 50 and that was Rob down in 10th spot.
Fortunate for the chasing pack I suppose - NOT.
I've not checked individual predictions but I bet everybody forecast a home win for Man U and Man City.
Those two teams let everybody down.

Shortened league table this week because next week, the last of the league matches, only has 4 games (or 180 points max) and it is therefore mathematically impossible for those in a lower position to jump up into the knock outs.
Good luck to the rest of us.

Ah, but the players in the top 4 could also conceivably score -50pts (assuming they use their insurance chip), so that's a possible 230pt swing :lol

Realistically, I think it's probably only the top 7 now in contention.

Player of Month: March

With such a low TalkSport average score, my meagre 50 points don't look too bad.
Be interesting to see how many/few points we all score next week with just four games to forecast.

Didn't realise this week was the last week in the CL comp, reduced fixture list should help those at the top but I'm not counting any chickens yet because there are two dodgy games in the mix which could easily go either way and two that look straight forward on paper, may well not turn out that way but I should imagine most won't oppose those two.

With just four games there is obviously a lot of low scores and little movement.
Only bit of interest is that Bonehead moves up a place above his brother into runner-up spot.

BETNODS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Final games in Gameweek.
The top 4 from the group qualify for the two legged semi finals, being played in Gameweeks 29 and 31.

1st would play 4th (Slick v Bonehead) and 2nd would play 3rd (rob m v Howson) in head to head games to win a place in the Final.

The CL final will be played as a head to head game in Gameweek 35

Good luck to all four finalists.

Looks like there are two tied for 4th spot, how do we work that one out? Head to Head next week?

Yep, well spotted Slick. There will be a head to head next week between Bonehead and Stevestar. In the rare event of a tie between them next week Bonehead would qualify due to him being above Stevestar in the league. As stated in the rules.

Next week is also the last £50 Super Saturday of the season too.

I'm glad this weekend wasn't the final weekend of the CL, bummer set of fixtures that could see quite a few people change league positions imo.
