Not having a good week but let's move on to tomorrow
One I mentioned last time out - Idoapologise, runs tomorrow in the 137 Doncaster.
My quote
I watched Irv's race and, I don't know if I'm seeing something that wasn't there but I thought it a strange run by Idoapologise.. Broke as well as anything but was pulled back straight away to the rear which was probably fair enough as it ran keenly on it's last run before finishing fourth. I wouldn't associate Brian Ellison with being particularly dodgy but all I'm saying is that if he wanted to get the mark down, the jockey couldn't have done a better job whilst appearing to make the horse look like it was giving everything. After they had settled, he seemed to let the rest of the field get away from him before making a token effort (including 2 cracks of the whip) and then, just before the furlong pole, there appears to be a definite tug on the right reign to encourage it to go in behind the horse in front of it before riding out to finish what must surely have been a false ninth best.
The mark is dropping all the time and is 16lb lower than this time last year and this (with another pound or two off for yesterday?) has just got to be a winnable mark if it can be settled early in its race.
First show was 25/1 and with the exception of one bookie, it is now best priced 10/1. 2pts ew 16/1 5 places
