BRACKLEY TOWN @ 2.10 (Betway) away at Curzon Ashton. Curzon could go in to the play offs if they win their games in hand but this a tough ask against an inform Brackley. Both teams have won 3 out of the last 5 but Brackley's form reads better and the addition of the above mentioned striker means anything above evens on them is probably worth taking for the rest of the season.

GLOUCESTER CITY @ 2.40 (Betway/PaddyP) home to Darlington. I watched Gloucester a couple of Tuesdays back and they gave us a tough game (we had our strongest team out) and they should of come away with a point.
They've lost by the odd goal to some tough teams of late but did pick up a point at high flying Kiddie and i do believe they are getting better. Darlington also won at the weekend but no great shakes beating Chester. Previous to that they lost 4 on the trot including a 1-0 loss at 4th bottom Guiseley and a 5-0 tanking at 2nd bottom Telford.

YORK CITY @ 3.00 (Betway) away at Kettering. A risky one this as Kettering are in a bit of form and sit in the last play off spot but York have the play off spots in their sights too and can go above Kettering if they win their games in hand (they should beat Telford at home on Tuesday) so i can see the 3.00 shortening before the weekends game. A biggish price for York, considering they have scored 3 and then 4 on their last two away trips.

Brackley were very well backed, best priced 1.80 before being called off. York game was also called off. They were best priced 2.87 on the day too, so i'll keep posting them up early.

Gloucester led twice but still only managed to draw. So 10pt loss this weekend.

Haven't got time for thoughts but there are a plenty of games midweek and the weekend. Postponements are regular and a pain in the arse this time of year though. Here's where i'm putting my pts.

Tuesday

YORK CITY @ 4.00 (Betway/Hills)
GLOUCESTER CITY @ 2.38 (Hills)
BRACKLEY TOWN @ 1.91 (Hills)
KIDDERMINSTER @ 1.91 (Betway/Hills)

Saturday

GLOUCESTER CITY @ 4.0 (Various)
YORK CITY @ 1.80 (Betfred)

Two winners, two losers, two postponements from the above.

The two winners were slight odds on, so a slight loss of 0.29pts.

Southport, although in the play offs weren't much cop despite beating Hereford last week. They seem to have lost their way at home a little lately too. I'm shouting up that prick Janai Gordon to get on the score sheet today and Brackley to take the points home with them.

BRACKLEY TOWN @ 2.15 (Various)

Good price for Brackley that, Southport had been very strong at home until recently, but it looks like they are starting to fall away, they got beat at home by Blyth a couple of weeks ago.

Who do you think will win the league punter?

I backed Fylde at the start of the season and they were looking good upto Christmas, but its gone a bit pear shaped since unfortunately.

Also backed Dorking in the National League South, which was looking like a bad decision until a few weeks before Christmas, but they are absolutely flying now and hopefully it continues until the end of the season

Brackley scored, had it disallowed and a player sent off all within the space of a few minutes. They could only hold out for a draw. Annoying as they've gone and won 5-0 away at Guiseley, tonight.
A 10pt loss on the weekend and a 20.29pt loss overall.

I honestly dont know who will win the league. My heart hopes Gateshead but Brackley now have the fire power and have a great team spirit. I cant call it.
I would of said Kidderminster Harriers 4 weeks ago, they were the best team i'd seen in the league and there was nothing unusual about that performance in the cup against West Ham. But a key player suffered a serious injury since and they seem to have derailed the last two games. A poor loss at bottom of the table Farsley and a thumping at leaders Gateshead.

That's the thing about this level, just one key player injured or leaving/joining a club can make a massive difference in form either way.

I dont know what happened to Fylde this season. They spent the money and were flying but maybe they got a bit carried away with themselves? Still in 4th though and they have just bought in a new manager. A respected one who has proven statistics in non league. They could string a run of wins together again soon so i'll be looking at their odds each week.

Good luck with your Dorking bet, in a great position and i hope they go on and win it for you. What price did you get?

I dont know much about the Southern League. I did say to a few from Hereford that geologically we'd be slightly better off playing in the Southern but was told to fuck off by them all. They didn't care about the travel, the beer is a couple of quid a pint cheaper up North :lol Fair point.

I've looked at this weekends fixtures and odds. I'm chancing my imaginary money on two DNB's.

BLYTH SPARTANS DNB @ 3.2 (Paddy P's). At home to Chester. Not a winner by any means but 3.2 for a DNB at home? Against a team you can go above with a game in hand if you win?

Its a bottom end of the table clash so anything can happen but i watched Chester a couple of weeks ago and they were dire. A couple of big 6ft 7ers were there only threat from corners but everywhere else on the pitch, very light weight. I dont get the odds. Maybe they're based on the fact Chester are due to win one after so many losses on the trot. Maybe i've missed some non league news. I haven't been reading.

GLOUCESTER DNB @ 4 (Paddy P's). Home to league leaders Gateshead. Gloucester are better than their league position. Unbeaten in 5 and just one goal conceded in the last 3 games. With Brackley on their tails the pressure is on Gateshead

Football

Sunderland to beat Blackburn @ 5/4
Middlesborough to beat Wigan @ 16/25
Salford to beat Barrow @ 6/4
AFC Fylde to beat Chorley @ Evs

Trebles and Accy.

I've also had a bet on AFC Fylde to win the National League North...

I was hoping to get a bit more than 11/4 but sat in sixth with games in hand, i do think they'll be thereabouts again. A possible Norwich of the National leagues, winning this league in 2017. Finished 3rd last year.

Horses

Following Topdog's early picks from Fontwell here

1.42-Yorksea @ SP

3.27-Kenny George @ SP

Ew Singles, Ew double. Four places both races, good luck us.

14.30 King George
Nicholls loves this race but it's not always his favourites that win it, but i do think BRAVEMANSGAME 9/4 is his most likely and i'm on it . Smaller win bet on one of his others, HITMAN 7/1.
Also a small ew bet on AHOY SENOR 20/1, who might sneak a place if he can sort his jumping out. It's a fair old journey to bring one horse.

Sad to see 2015 winner, Cue Card has died today.

Happy Christmas all :beer

Fabinho seems to have put the WC disappointment behind him and looked to be on a mission Thursday night at Man City. A flying, double footed, kung foo kick to bring Rodri down, should of seen him sent off.

Amongst the talk of new midfielders joining the club and his place under threat, he has declared himself fit and ready to face Villa tomorrow.

I know we're not quite in January yet but would you believe he was our top scorer during this month last season. I think it was either 5 or 6 goals. I can see cards and attempts on goal from him in the coming weeks. I've added a few bets on him for tomorrow

Fabinho v Villa

To get booked @ 11/5
Anytime scorer @ 13/2
Score from outside box @ 22/1

Bravemansgame and Topdogs two picks, saved my day and i have funds to play with.

Going to hit them as they come, starting with Let Me Entertain U in the 11.50 Wetherby @ 16/1

Cheers Sean, he held on well i thought. Not a great night overall though, Brave Display was a bad call.

A different direction for me with my gambling now. While November and December have been ok months, experience reminds me that January and February are poor months for horse racing betting and it's easy for me to sit here and just press buttons and get slack, so i'm switching back to Football only, til probably the Cheltenham or Aintree festivals.

I am having one more horse bet tomorrow though, it's the only horse i've had in my tracker this winter and it's her 3rd run

Uttox 2.18 - Politicus @ 11/2

I had this one given me as a horse to look out for by someone who knows connections to it. He must have some knowledge on it because he told me when it would be running it's first race,10 days before any decs went up.
Anyway, it's put in two pleasing runs so far, she ran an absolute cracker in a listed race at Cheltenham 49 days ago and i'm hoping she's still in the same form and can at least make the frame tomorrow.
I've got more on than i should have but last horse bet for a while.

Fabinho didn't even make the squad tonight, went hospital with is wife, she's due to give birth imminently.
Poor form from her, i thought. Stakes returned.

Towards rear, raced wide, headway 4f out, ridden over 3f out, went 4th 3f out, stayed on strongly final furlong, closing at finish, just denied op 5/1 tchd 4/1

Another 3 yards and i'd of been walking around the house in a crown, gown and thinking i'm Snoop Dogg tonight.

Another small bet on AFC Fylde to win the National League North @ 7/2
