Trying Something Out ..

First , second , third ... you watch :lol Gonna be fckin gutted if i dont get the winner :grr:lol

two different things fella , this one is personal fancies the other one is a method i came up with yonks ago , and it gave four horses and those two stood out at decent prices :thumb

Hope you have a go at the forecast. A friend of mine was wanting a bet the other week and i gave him two of yours and he got the tricast up with Billymill which was the name of his brother and sister. His lucky day bumping into me. i think he owes you a drink lol

Had a stab at it , fingers crossed now .. used to like a punt at the forecast/tricast , might have a gander at some races and see what happens , usually do win singles and then the fc and/or tricast , so i cover me bets

6.00 Newcastle - Phoenix Star 17/2 (Hills) - Enraged 5/1 (Hills)
Open looking handicap where a handful look as though they could take a hand at the business end but two in particular catch my eye .. the first of those is PHOENIX STAR , who has only won once at the course but rarely runs a bad race here - 10 runs , 1 win , 7 places .. and over CD - 8 runs , 1 win , 5 places. Was 8th to the re opposing Level Up at Southwell last time but back here i think better can be expected from the selection and could possibly reverse the form. Trainer Jessica Macey has been in decent form with a 40% strike rate over the past fortnight and she sends just this one to the meeting , and shes done well when sending them to Newcastle this season with a 28.6% strike rate and a profit of +£5.00. Jockey Lewis Edmunds is in the hotseat and he too is here for just this one , has won on the horse before - 2 wins and 9 places from 20 rides - and hes been amongst the winners with a 15% strike rate over the past three weeks. And when he and the trainer have teamed up over the past 21 days they have a 50% strike rate. More than capable of going close here i think. The other one i like is ENRAGED , who looks to be bang in form at the moment , ended last season with a brace of wins , and came back this term after 186 days off in equally scintillating form .. has been second on both starts so far , not beaten far in either of them , both of those were over todays CD and im expecting another sound effort from her today. Julie Camacho being doing well lately with a 25% strike rate over the past 3 weeks and has a more than respectable 16.7% strike rate here at Newcastle this season. Callum Rodriguez also comes here for just this one and he has a 33% strike rate over the past 21 days and he seems to get on well with the horse with two wins and two places from his 5 rides to date. Think she'll run her race and be bang there when the finishing line comes.

3.50 Carlisle - Captain Zebo 14/1 (365) :hissyfit
A few of these come into this looking as though they could win but at a decent enough price im gonna side with CAPTAIN ZEBO , who hasnt been at his best on his last few outings it has to be said but as a result he has come tumbling down in the weights which cant be a bad thing can it ? .. and the fact that he seems to relish it round here didnt go un noticed , to date hes three from three over todays CD and is six from four overall at Carlisle and is the only CD winner in the race. Trainer sends just this one to the meeting and the jockey who has won 5 times on the horse also comes here for just this one , takes off a valuable 7lb. At the price worth i think hes worth a go as a shot to nothing.

2.45 Newcastle - Mujid 7/1 (365)
A few look to hold chances in this but im gonna plump for MUJID whose ran well enough on both starts this year , was a sound third over this afternoons CD on his penultimate run before coming a respectable 4th last time out over a furlong further at Kempton. That third was his first outing at Kempton so proved he handles it round here so the course and distance shouldnt prove a problem despite the fact that hes won over neither. Cant say i know too much about the trainer , J Tickle , but the fact that he brings the horse all the way from Devon making him the longest traveller of the meeting would suggest that they're not coming here for a day out. Jockey , Taylor Fisher , is a claimer i rate (as ive said before) and his 5lb claim will come in handy. If on song i think Mujid can give the principals something to think about at a nice price.

6.30 Kempton - Crystal Casque 11/2 (365)
Trappy looking 6 runner race where the front two look strong but beatable imho , hopefully by the selection CRYSTAL CASQUE. Enters the fray on the back of a win last time out , beating May Night by 1/2 length , that one went in next time out so franking the form. She seems to like it here at Kempton , with three wins and two places from 7 runs over this evenings CD (and at the track as a whole 5 wins and 7 places from 22 runs). And given shes been in decent form im hoping another solid run is on the cards. Trainer comes here for just this one and has a 14.3% strike rate at Kempton this term , hes a trainer i like , and the fact he sends just this one could indicate a big run is expected. Jockey also here for this one alone , ridden the horse seven times resulting in two wins and two places so seems to know the horse well enough and has a 40% strike rate here this term. At the price i think shes worth a go and i expect her to go close this evening.

4.25 Sedgefield - Legendary Day 5/2 (365) - Berties Wish 10/3 (Hills,BFred)
Couple in this one stand out for me , the first one is handicap debutant LEGENDARY DAY who has only had two hurdles races to date and acquitted himself well in both , winning on his debut over this CD , and then coming a decent enough second at Catterick. Looks to have got in on a decent looking handicap mark to me and as hes only had the two races over obstacles to date i can see that there may well be more to come. Has had a couple of spins out on the flat recently resulting in a second and then a win last time out , hopefully he'll be sharp enough for those outings. Trainer sends just the one to the course and he has a 40% strike rate over the past four weeks and is 100% when sending them here this season. Has the able assistance of Brian Hughes from the saddle , and he rode the horse to victory in his first hurdles race , has been amongst the winners lately with a 19% strike rate in the last three weeks and has a 29.3% strike rate at Sedgefield this term. All things considered i think Legendary Day should go very close here today. The other one i like is BERTIES WISH , who like my other selection , makes his handicap debut in this off what looks to me a fair mark. Has had four hurdles race to date , winning one of them (over CD) and placing in another , that was last time out when a decent 2 1/2 length third at Carlisle over todays trip. Think that there could well be more to come now going handicapping and has a hood applied for the first time as well. Jennie Candlish has just this one out at the meeting today and she has a 26.7% strike rate when sending her runners here this term , Sean Quinlan in the plate and he has a win and a place from his three rides aboard the horse to date , hasnt been in the best of form lately but has a more than respectable 15.6% strike rate at Sedgefield this season. Definatley capable of taking a hand in the finish.

1.57 Chepstow - No No Tonic 11/1 (Hills,Lads,Coral)
Interesting looking handicap hurdle that looks wide open with a few of these more than capable of going close but im gonna go with the in form NO NO TONIC , who i think can go well at a decent price. Has only been out of the frame once since coming back from a lay off back in September '22 - 3,4,1,9,1,2 .. She sluiced up on her penultimate run beating the decent John Betjeman by 8 1/2 lengths at Wincanton. She followed that up last time out with a sound second over 2 miles here , which took her tally here to two runs - two places (one of those over CD). Shes never won over this trip but has run well over it so i dont think that will be a problemand im hoping that todays the day she can get her head in front over this trip. Trainer and jockey go for just this one today and i think the outing could well pay dividends.

3.07 Chepstow - Top Of The Bill 10/1 (Lads,Coral)
Another handicap hurdle and its pretty much similiar to the one above in that it looks , to me , to be wide open with plenty of possibles , but theres one that catches my eye at what i think is a decent price and thats TOP OF THE BILL. As with my other selection hes another whose done well since returning to action from a lay off , has had four runs and won two of those , including last time out when he beat Sporting Ace by 2 lengths at Exeter. He won over CD three races back , beating Paricolor , so will know his way round here. J Nailor rides him today on his sole start of the meeting and hes ridden the horse the last seven times , resulting in figures of - 4,4,4,2,1,4,1 so obviously seems to get on well with the horse and i can see no reason why the pair shouldnt go well again today. Has been riding well of late with a 33% strike rate over the past three weeks , and is 1/1 here this season and when riding for NTD the pair have struck up a 50% strike rate in the past 21 days. Nigel Twiston Davies' runners always merit respect , and the fact that he sends only two runners to the meetin that are both in this race (which he won last year with Ballyandy) stands out for me and whilst i wouldnt discount his other runner , The Kniphand , i think this one could be the best of the pair. At the price im willing to take a chance to find out.

3.30 Leicester - C'est Quelqu'un 10/3 (365) - Cloudy Wednesday 11/4 (365.Hills)
A couple in this one catch my eye , and they were first and second lto here at Leicester over 2m4f and i think the race could well be between these two protagonists once again. C'EST QUELQU'UN came out on top by a length and a quarter and should go well i think , is one from one here. Trainer Sean Curran brings just this one to the meeting and hes been amongst the winners lately with a 17% strike rate over the past three weeksand over the last 5 years he has a 100% strike rate here at Leicester so anything he sends warrants respect. Jockey David Bass also here for just this one , and he was on the horse last time out when winning making his record aboard the horse two wins and two places from seven rides. Has a 29% strike rate in the past fortnight , and he too seems to do well here with a 16.7% strike rate. When the trainer and jockey have pooled their talents over the past three weeks they have a 100% strike rate. All things considered i think C'est Quelqu'un should go close here today. The second home in that lto race and the other selection for the race is CLOUDY WEDNESDAY who finally got off the mark in his penultimate run when beating Auditoria by 2 1/2 lengths at Fakenham , beaten by C'est Quelqu'un last time (as above) he ran a fine race in defeat and a repeat performance would see him getting involved here. Never won here but has placed once from one run , last time out. Lewis Stones back in the saddle which i think is interesting , as its sole start of the day , and he was on the horse when he won at Fakenham. Seems to get on well enough with the horse and his 5lb claim could certainly play a part here as it will put him 7lb better off with C'est Quelqu'un so should be entitled to reverse that form around. Been having a good month with a 26.7% strike rate and has a decent 22.2% strike rate when coming to Leicester , along with a healthy profit of +£21.00. Trainer Caroline Fryer also here for just this one and she has a 25% strike rate in the last month. Should be battling it out come the line.
