Only Football & Horses

Hereford continue to be overpriced.

It's no banker but they should never be @ 3.20 away at Buxton, who have lost their last 3 league games.

We've been playing some decent football of late and a win here could see us move in to the play offs if results go our way.

We'll be up for it, our main striker Jason Cowley is now back and fully fit. A goal and an assist last game and he has since become a dad. I'm sure he'd like to score for the little one.

Only small bets due to our away form not being brilliant W1 D1 L3, ( all five games were against teams in the top 8)

Hereford @ 3.20
Hereford & BTTS @ 6.40
Hereford to win 3-1 @ 22/1

Hereford lost 2-1
What's worse was i paid £9.50 to watch it on National League TV and there was a big fuck off pylon covering almost half of one of the goals. Shite.

I'm lacking intrest in looking for a good bet this weekend so i've just chucked 18 x £1 on (un)lucky dips, in the big one, and be done with it.

A TAA goal and 4 void bets gave me a fiver profit on the lucky dips.

I've spilt it on two races

Lucinda Russell has got 2 at Uttoxeter that i fancy the chances of.

12:30
Lady In The Park @ 11/2
Party Vibes @ 9/4

1.05
Step Above @ 17/2
Broomfield Present @ 6/5

Singles and combo doubles

I'm on a couple of Stuart Edmunds runners at Taunton later. And a couple of Footy bets too.

12:50
BIRDHOUSE @ 66/1
Should out run his odds, but whether it'll be enough to place, i dont know. The smallest of e.w bets

3.10
SAILED AWAY @ 11/4
More of a case can be made for this one. 2nd lto, 2nd fav here

RYAN GRAVENBERCH, Liverpool - Anytime Scorer @ 6/1
Not guaranteed to start but has done in the first 3 games in this tournament, scoring in two of them.

TOULOUSE @ 2.25
The team most likely to finish 2nd in Liverpool's group and my biggest bet of the 4.
Big price this for the home. I would of taken 1.80. A win here would guarantee at least 2nd place.
Opponents Royal Union SG, have lost 2/2 away games in this comp' and never had a shot on target in the last away game.

Hereford 8th v Scunthorpe 2nd

A big game this, for this division. The two biggest supported clubs in the league. If it survives an 8am precautionary inspection (a decent chance, covers are down), it should be a good game. I've got my ticket.

I wouldn't be surprised of any outcome here but i've had to have a small bet on Hereford. Just a fans bet really.

We've been decent at home, winning 5 on the trot, while Scunthorpe have W1 D2 L2 in their last 5 away.

Hereford @ 3.05
2-1 @ 11.00
3-1 @ 25.00
3-0 @ 31.00
4-1 @ 67.00

Good luck Punt and I hope you have a starter.
How cold is it down there? It's brassers down here , I've just sent Moans out topless and it's at least 2cm on the ole Nipometer.

A couple at Fairyhouse

13:25 - ANSWER TO KAYF @ 15/2
14:00 - SOLNESS @ 10/1

E.W singles and E.W double

:lol

Aye, it's cold. I may have to go full balaclava to Hereford :cold

I've got the woodburner on tonight, I bought one of those fans that sit on top of the fire to spread the heat about rather than it going up the flu but all the fcukers doing it blowing a draft onto my feet:duh

A couple at Fairyhouse

13:25 - ANSWER TO KAYF @ 15/2
14:00 - SOLNESS @ 10/1

E.W singles and E.W double

2nd & 1st
Gutted, ANSWER TO KAYF looked every bit the winner between the last two but got collared on the run in. The double would of set me up from Xmas through to Easter

My lift has let me down for Hereford too, so i'm in for the afternoon with another footie bet...

Sheffield United @ 5.20
Nottingham Forest @ 2.95
Brackley Town @ 2.00
Rushall Olympic @ 2.38
King's Lynn Town FC @ 2.10

Doubles and up.

Did you head to the pub for the 2nd half ??

Spanked 5-1, horror show.
A good win tonight though and up to fifth...

Teams around us have a few games in hand but at the almost half way stage of the season, we're in a decent position to push on.

The football has been getting better. One thing Manager Paul Caddis has done is keep our two main strikers back, pretty much making out that they are injured. Andy Williams and Jason Cowley have 2 appearances combined in the opening 10 league games. Chairman has confirmed that they are being paid 40% of our entire squad budget!

Cowley is now back and scoring regularly and Andy Williams is just a couple of weeks away.

It looks like Scunthorpe will be the league winners but i do believe that nothing is settled below them.

An Anytime goalscorer bet to give me interest in todays Prem matches..

Garnacho @ 4.00 Manchester United - Chelsea

Stones @ 12.00 Aston Villa - Manchester City

Salah @ 1.65 Sheffield United - Liverpool

Maupay @ 4.30 Brighton - Brentford

Semenyo @ 4.75 Crystal Palace - Bournemouth

Elanga @ 4.50 Fulham - Nottingham Forest

Doubles and up

Stones @ 12.00 stands out a bit. An un used substitute for the last three games. With Rodri and Grealish suspended and Doku an injury doubt, he must have a chance of starting this one. Up for corners and around the edge of the box in Rodri's role, when City are playing in the final third?

Salah @ 1.65 not a great price but he's chasing his 200th Liverpool goal and has every chance here.

Maupay @ 4.30 has been getting game time and has popped up with a couple of goals lately. I wouldn't be surprised to see him put one past his former club.

West Ham have been taking the EFL cup seriously. Seriously enough to knock Arsenal out in the last round anyway. A convincing 3-1 win.
You would think they are likely to give it a good go on Wednesday at Anfield, after lifting a trophy last season.
How much they can achieve in the league is up for debate but i think this is another cup competition that they're up for and really trying to win.

I'm not sure what strength team Liverpool will put out. They'll want to win it but will have the top of the table clash with Arsenal on Saturday, as the bigger priority.
Caoimhin Kelleher is most likely to start in goal. He has done in the previous rounds. He's only kept 2 clean sheets in his last 8 appearances for Liverpool and in 3 of those he's conceded 2 or more, against some mediocre opposition.

It will probably pay to wait for team news but i already think West Ham have a chance here.
6/1 for the away win is a big price and so is the 9/1 for the win and BTTS, wouldn't you say?

Going against my own team here and not just based on the poor performance on Sunday. I've had a couple of bets on both.

Morning all, happy Xmas.

Last pick was a mile off, should of waited for team news.West ham's back 4 had around 6 appearances between them all season.

Hoping for a better result Boxing day, with a couple of mules..

Aintree 1:05 - KAMSINAS @ 17/2

Wincanton 2:38 - BLACK HAWK EAGLE @ 12/1

2 x £2 E.W singles, 1 x £2 E.W double

National League North Outright - HEREFORD FC - £10 @ 33/1 Unibet.

I've already mentioned them several times in this thread and i'm on 3 places with a few bets.
Win only on offer now and Bet Victor are still offering a whopping 66/1

upload_2023-12-25_11-36-43.png

23 games is the half way point in the season.
Herefords next two games are massive against local rivals Gloucester. If we can take 6pts off them then we are in a title race.

All players are now fully fit and we are the 2nd best supported team in the league, behind leaders Scunthorpe.
Lots of optimism about the place and in the managers own words... we have an abundance of character in the squad.

If you've got some small change to stick on us, you'll get a good run for your money. It's a huge price, crazy price.

Hope you have a great xmas and all the best for the new year Punter

Good luck with yer selections , gone against yer in the 1.05 with Florida Dreams (but if my mine dont win fingers crossed for yours)

Best of luck with the Hereford bet , nicely poised i;d say at the minute , better than the linnets anyway who i see are 4th from the bottom !

Thanks Sean. All the best for the new year to you too.

I've joined you on Florida Dreams @ 12/1
£2 E.W single and a £2 E.W double with my other pick BLACK HAWK EAGLE @ 9/1

Florida Dreams was my 2nd choice for the race and it got me thinking back to Boxing Day 2001 when a horse called Florida Pearl won the King George @ 8/1
I used to gamble bigger stakes back then and had it doubled up with a 9/2 winner. A boxing day to remember for sure.

BLACK HAWK EAGLE has had a bit of support since i posted 12/1. Now in to 9/1.
Interesting runner this one. Kerry Lee sends 2 to Kempton but they are clearly only there for the run, place money at best, as they are up against Constitution Hill.
She only sends 1 to Wincanton with usual stable joc, Richard Patrick there for the ride. The Racing Post fancy it too.

I've read the linnets are in trouble, Sean. Not a good read this...
https://www.lynnnews.co.uk/sport/troubled-linnets-need-300-000-to-see-season-through-9344959/

Cheers :thumb

Best of luck with BHE . I rate Kerry Lee , she knows how to ready one and comes across as a shrewdie when it comes to placing her horses

Crying shame about the linnets , but thats modern football for yer , all about the money and nowt else really. I can see alot of other smaller clubs having the same problems , as mentioned in the article , and going to the wall. So much wrong with modern football , dont know where to start tbh

BHE won, backed in to 5/1

Last bet of the year, it's a bit of a dick dance putting it on but i'm hoping it's worth it..

Use this is if you have 7 selections you are about to put onto your coupon and put in a single accumulator.

NUMBER YOUR SELECTIONS, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7

The bet is a permutation of groups of four, and indeed Yankees in this instance. A Yankee consists of 11 bets. 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a four-fold. We will play 7 yankees across the seven selection.

1236, 1245, 1357,1467, 2347, 2567, 3456

This is where the one or two always let me down bit comes in. If you were let down on two selections in this bet, but still got five right, this permutation will guarantee that four of the five right would fall together to return a complete Yankee. If its a case of just the one that got away, then you will land at least three Yankess fully completed. In both cases, with just the one or two letting you down, in addition to the full yankees you will have landed, there will be plenty of doubles and trebles elsewhere in the bets that you will collect on.

Even if you get three selections incorrect, there is a chance the four you get right will sit together and complete a Yankee for you.

Even with just three or two winners, consolations prizes will ensure you get something if not your full stake back depending on the prices and where they sit in the permutation.

First 7 races at Southwell

4.00 - Al Suil Eile @ 8/1

4.30 - Camacho Star @ 4/1

5.00 - Catrake Force @ 22/1

5.30 - Glistening Nights @ 9/4

6.00 - Heathen @ 5/2

6.30 - Hiya Maite @ 6/5

7.00 - Jeans Maite @ 20/1

*Some small price changes during Yankee bets

7 x 0.10 e.w yankees + 0.30 added accy's
7 x 0.10 e.w 6 folds
1 x 0.55 e.w Accy

20.00 staked

Happy new year to you all and hopefully all 7 come in and i don't have to go back to work in January.
