IKTS Gameweek 8 Review

"Looking further afield, the average score this week was a sad 17 points, influenced by a respectable 40% of predictions being correct. A lucky 46% of you played your Banker correctly, while 21% of you took Insurance on the Arsenal vs. Manchester United game. Finally, congratulations to our leaderNigel Eckersley on 825 points and also a special mention for this week's top scorerfayven who scored 250."

The report does not say where most players placed their Bonus chip. I bet it was divided between Man City/Newcastle & Chelsea/Soton with possibly slightly more plumping for a Chelsea home win.
I bet nobody expect Soton to win away or that Sunderland would manage a draw against West Ham.
The table shows that Malvern League dropped down the Championship table but against that I susect our top players are doing very well against other Predictor players. For instance with my 425 pts I'm placed 2,110 out of 124,414 players.

Just entered my predictions and thought what a difficult set of fixtures to forecast. I've got 5 draws but not confident in any of them. Don't expect to be top of table by end of play Tuesday.

While entering my forecasts today I've just discovered that I'm also top of another Predictor type competition of 58 players. In this game they offer the same points as in Premiership games ( plus some pts for goals that I don't understand). I use same set of predictions for this game and IKTS.

Won't last but fun while it does.

Alas in another Predictor competition I'm well down the pecking order. I'm 71st out of 776.
I use the same forecasts for this competition but must also forecast five players (with various goal values) to score during the weekend.
I'm not bad at scorelines but SH*T at forecasting goalscorers.

If this weekend's looked difficult, next weekend's are even worse. I really can't see any obvious banker candidate, whether from the x2s or the x3s :thinking

I see you're joint 538th overall, out of over 125,000 players Newman :clap

I see he's got 7 badges too, Howson will be livid because he can't understand why he hasn't got any:lol

Thanks.
I think that has been the highest I've ever been in this comp.

And Slick, what's the point of the badges?
I see that you've got a blue badge. But no extra points for collecting them.

I did know but I've forgot lol,
I think the orange one is for every week you stay in the top 10% of the overall contest and the blue one is for being a cnut

I was 403'rd in the comp the other week Newman but never got a mention, Reggie is only being nice cause he's won a few bob.

:lol

I wouldn't have noticed for you as I wasn't going so well at the time, so wouldn't have bothered checking my own position. Checked it this week though, saw I was in the top 2000, so wondered how high Newman was.

Oh I know why TalkSport award these badges, but I think its a waste of space and time.

67% correct Banker's Bonuses. No wonder Cleggy was mortified when his went down especially when some had their Insurance on that game.

Cleggy was mortified because he thought he had put his banker bonus on a 2-0 Chelsea win and was bouncing about when it came in only to find out when he checked his score that it hadn't been played, he then remembered being disturbed in work while he was submitting his predictions and didn't go back to putting his bonus on lol.

:lol @ This weeks fixtures.
I need to dig out my lucky pin.
