Man Utd to win the Premier League by 3 points

Unless some arsehole Yanks have bought your club, drained its resources and loaded it with huge amounts of debt and annual interest payments that exceed the business's profits.

That reminds me, just count the number of green and gold scarves in the crowd at United's next Premiership match now they are top of the league and then count them in the last games of the season if they look like they're going to lose the championship:lol

Theyre not what they were but they cant sink that quick surely :unsure

In the interest of some kind of balance, Savic is City's Evans. A team like City have the resources to buy a ready made player. If they want to show they can pick up a bargain, buy a twenty one year old and loan him out to Bolton where he can make his fuck ups there and learn from them, then put him in the team when he's developed into a player who knows what he's doing. Don't stick him in a team that is actually trying to win something and be surprised when he costs you games.

That was more circumstance than wanting to play Savic as twice now City have lost two central defenders at the same time which opened the door to Savic.
Still like you said City have enough cash to have brought in a ready made CB in the summer rather than taking a chance on a rookie, similar thing happened the year before with young Boyata and Savic was bought to address that issue.
I think we can firmly say the same mistake won't be made next year.

I knew some pedant would pick up on that but I thought, fuck it. I'm obviously using the word in its proper sense.

You can say that again Slick. The only way Savic should be making an appearance at a premiership ground next season is if he's paying to get in. Part of the game is played in the head and Savic is mentally too weak for it at this moment in time. United took an even bigger gamble when they brought in their keeper. If Fergie is such a genius, why is is not bringing introducing players AT A TIME OF STRENGTH, dipping them in and out of an already strong skeleton of players. Why wait until his number one keeper announces his retirement before bringing in a replacement and chucking him straight into the deep end.
De Gea will cost United games, Savic will cost City games. The blame for both goes to the Managers. If the loss of two central defenders means that you have to play Billy fucking Elliot then you haven't got your squad right.

'Football fans are fickle' shocker. Only happens at United eh! :wink

De Gea will cost United games.

So you wanted Fergie to spend £18m he didn't have on a keeper that he didn't need when he had other more urgent squad priorities? Given Citeh's wallet, I've no doubt he would of but unfortunately the days of us doing that are long gone.

Anyway, De Gea has come on leaps and bounds after some shockers in the first half of the season. Will he cost us more points? Yes probably as he learns his trade but Fergie's bought a keeper that should be our no 1 for the next 10-15 years. It's also only fair to point out that in recent weeks, he's actually saved us points with some fantastic saves.

And whilst all the ABUs want to knock him, the United fans are more than happy with him. And don't forget, Schmeichel went through exactly the same growing pains at the start of his United career and he turned out ok. But nobody remembers that do they! :)

De Gea's a good age tbf. waynes right, theres a lot of years in him yet, & only time will tell. probably better than keep buying 35 year olds ?

You're both wrong. De Gea won't be there in two years time.

A good age? They were both 21 when they bought them, Savic and De Gea. Pulling off the odd brilliant save when you're two nil down may look very good but I'd rather have a keeper that can actually catch a cross in the box instead of just being a lightweight getting buffeted about like a fart in the wind.

They may both turn out to be top players (I doubt it) but neither of them is good enough at the moment. As for Schmeichel, Fergie bought him because he won the Euros with Denmark. If it hadn't been for the war in Yugoslavia he may well never have spotted him in the first place. Let's face it, he's bought more fucking duff keepers than decent ones in his time there.

.....& he didnt sign Joe Hart :unsure

He must have been about 21 then :lookaround

Glad you mentioned that, as it back up my point brilliantly. City signed Hart at about 20 and loaned him out to get the experience he needed and then dragged him back to play him when he knew what the fuck he was doing. Now he's the best keeper in England.

Thanks Swoops.

Fergies never been great with keepers. Mancini's a clown, think I've already said it :unsure

Slow down your typing ya cnut, I can only respond to one provocation at a time.....even though I'm an author :unsure

Saves me typing it out again.

15 clean sheets is'n an achievement, you've 13 so far this season, 15 last season, 19 the year before, 24 the year before that, and 21 the year before that.

And Yorkie how can you come back laughing, you were wrong? Your out of the Champions League so no Semis (and the Europa league too), you didn't win the League Cup, you can't win the FA cup, at best you've got 1/4 right.
Oh dear you do realise im on about next season for the champions league semis another league title and either the fa cup or league cup? Maybe read my comments and go through them again before posting
