ODM's Pretty Young Things

Can I use this space to mention that James Tate is a trainer that I've often followed in the past when he's hit form and he seems to be running a lot of horses lately and most of them are running well. He has four running tomorrow and another three booked to run on Saturday. Worth a look.

2/1 winner and two places (9/2 and 8/1) out of four runners yesterday for Mr Tate and he has three runners worth looking at today.

Not a good start for me with Mardale falling early on and Knight Owl only managing to finish 3rd. 54 pts staked and Irish Optimism placed to return 13 of them and Sightline and Hillbilly Boy both won to return a further 51, so two wins and a place out of 6 returned a profit of 10pts on the day

I'm running late (which seems to be something of a pattern of late) but fortunately my first donkey hasn't ran yet. I'll be backing James Tate's Ruwaiyan in the 305 each way at 7/1 but it's not to be included in this P and L

Just a health warning - most of these selections seem to be drifting in price

355 Newmarket Adaay 3pts ew at 11/1

350 Windsor Rio Ronaldo 2.5 pts ew 14/1

415 Newcastle Steve Rodgers 3pt ew 10/1 (FIVE places skybet)

440 Curragh Dream of Dreams 10pt at 4/1 - won for this thread last time out at about 2/1 I think.

I'll post this now and put the rest up shortly

Three horses in the 630 curragh have popped up in my tracker, G Force (5/1) Bebhinn (10/1) and The Happy Prince at 8/1

As if that wasn't enough, the horse I actually fancy to win the race isn't any of them. I'll be backing Jamsie ew at 9/1 but, ridiculous as it is, I will put the three tracker horses up for the PL of this thread as follows

5pt ew The Happy Prince 10/1
2.5pt ew Bebhinn 10/1
2.5pt ew G force 5/1

755 Doncaster Cersei which disappointed for this thread last time out. It's the only runner in the field who's price is bigger now than it was before the non-runner came out so, needless to say, not a confident shout but 5pt win 6/1 and 5pt for a place on betfair to win 8.38pts

855 Doncaster Meshardal 5pt ew 9/1

Not confident of a profit today, that's for sure.

BLOODY HELL, first two came second to return a profit but the second beaten in a photo that betfair had odds on as the winner. Never mind.

The frustration continues with Dream of Dreams trading at 1.08 before getting beaten. Fuck fuck fuck

No more returns yesterday

415 Cartmel Lord Wishes won for this thread at 7/1 last time out and goes today 5pt win at 11/2 and I can get over evens for 3 places on betfair even though there are only 7 runners. 5pt to win 5.77.

Monday

440 Pontefract - I am fast losing patience with Geno and will consider dropping him if tomorrow's run doesn't promise improvement. 5pt ew 12/1. I'm reluctant to write it off yet, especially considering that I decided not to follow back Ringside Humour (see previous mentions in this thread) which won today at 11/1.

510 Pontefract - Auspicion. 5ew 11/1.

Obviously little confidence in Geno as it drifted out to 28/1 but still managed to get a place to return 33 points which makes a profit on the day of 13 points.

Having missed the boat on Ringside Humour's 11/1 win I'll have to get back on it for tomorrow. 800 Sligo 2/1 10pt win

Having missed the boat on Ringside Humour's 11/1 win I'll have to get back on it for tomorrow. 800 Sligo 2/1 10pt win

Wins with a bit to spare. Fourth profitable day out of five. Building up the profits steadily.

630 Bath Banham 5ew 5/1 (only 365 has that price left)

750 Fairyhouse - An Duine Uasal 10pt win 9/2 (again, 365 only)

820 Fairyhouse - I said I was going to leave Spader well alone after two dire performances but I'll give it another try. 10pts 3/1

A watching brief (no bet) for previous tracker one, Murtry's Delight 240 Perth 25/1

No returns today. Second one drifted to NINE to one so was never going to win and Spader went off 4/6 in a five runner race - God knows what price it traded in running (Seen?) but it must have been 1/100 from just seeing the closing stages but it lost and can get fucked right off.

740 Bellewstown Bay of Freedom 5pt ew 14/1

750 Epsom mELENDEZ 7/2 5pt win and I'll look at getting over evens for two places on the exchanges tomorrow

805 Newbury Spring fling 10pt win 3/1

Spring Fling the best of the bunch finishing 2nd by 1/2 a length. 30pts loss on the day.

Three have popped up tomorrow but unfortunately two of them are in the same race but, no matter, let's have a go anyway

Sandown 250 The last lion 10pts 4/5 and Mailshot 5pt ew 10/1 - fingers crossed for no non runners

Haydock 830 5pts ew Ice Slice 9/2

The last lion a winner at 10/11 and Mailshot a non-runner so with either be less than a point down or a bit up dependent on Ice Slice.

Tomorrow:

150 Bev Muirsheen Durkin 5pt ew 5/1

225 Bev Liquid 10pt win 7/2

435 Haydock Manatee Bay 5pt ew 11/1
