ODM's Pretty Young Things

240 Haydock. I like my fields smaller than 14 runners but won't be able to resist in the 240 at Haydock. The reason being that Tomily was the first horse in my tracker this spring and this is the one that beat it. Spencer tried his best to fuck it up by almost giving it too much to do but it won despite that. I'm sure he'll have another go at getting it beat tomorrow. 7/4

510 Haydock Flyboy has ran three times on three different types of ground and has been made odds on fav in its last two races only to disappoint. Caution urged with this one but maybe a return to the ground of its first run may see it show why it went off odds on subsequently. 16/1 ew bet (£5 ew mythical stakes)

310 Haydock General Alexander. Can't see this being one to follow for long but it won for this thread on 6th of May so it's only fair to let the bookies try to get a bit of their dosh back. As low as 10s but for some reason it's 20/1 with Ladbrokes (WHAT DO THEY KNOW THAT WE DON'T??)

730 Pontefract. Not often I'm happy to take on an odds on fav but I'd give Orewa a chance against the 2/5 fav given that these are young horses and who knows what can happen at this early stage. Paddy Power 6/1 so I'll be having a fiver win plus a tenner on betfair for it to finish in the first 2 (currently 1.7 but I'll try to get a bit bigger as the market fills out).

740 Musselbro' Paddy Power. Strange old profile this one but I get the impression that it could rack up two or three wins and is one to be one. Currently 4/1. Was toying with an ew bet but I'll go £10 win instead. Has been beaten by the likely fav by a short head but is a pound better off tomorrow and El Astronaute (although Cam Hardie is no mug) doesn't have De Sousa to assist it and those two factors could see a reversal.

Just the one from the archive and it proved to be a dud but it drops down to its lowest weight ever tomorrow and I'm a believer that most horses should be able to be placed to win a race at some stage and this looks like a poor collection of animals. Never heard of the jockey and nothing about it looks encouraging but, given the profit that I've made today on double figure tracker horses from previous years, I'd have to chop my own head off it it won and I wasn't on it. £3 ew 14/1 630 Ponte' Auspicion.

Forgot (again) to name the horse. Dream of Dreams is the one in the 240 race.

Stakes for General Alexander a mythical £3ew at 20/1

As an update I've ended up with £10 on Orewa without the fav at evens and £10 to finish first or second to win £9.50

I just got carried away a bit ODM - please accept my sincere apologies as i managed to get to the bookies 2mins before the off (and also doubled it with Hawk Moth at 7/2):yahoo :beer

Just checking the results and you've had another great day with some more still to come.

Now I am Seen :naughty

Tracker email has just come through. Plenty for tomorrow but off out to watch the footy so will update later with tomorrow's

Have you got the full list of results for all selections since the thread started? An incredible run of results, even more so considering the prices of many of them.

Fantastic tipping, sir :clap

No I don't have a list Seen. Maybe I'll put something together if I ever get the time.

Today
150 Beverley. Mentioned this one before in here and Seen posted that it traded very, very low in running before getting beaten. Geno is starting to look like a serial loser having come second five times out of seven races but I'll give it another go, watch the race and think about dropping it from my tracker. 15/8 with 5 runners.

200 Haydock, Ice slice won for this thread last time out. It was supposed to be my final fling with this horse but, with that in mind, I'll have to have a little each way tickle at at mythical £3 ew at 12/1.

225 Bev Logi looks strong in the betting but I'll be on The Last Lion 15/8.
Here are the comments on my tracker from its last run....
odds on fav -seemed to hang its head. finished 2nd but placed 3rd after stewards -interfered with Deningy which ran really well
Also on Mailshot each way which will have made a profit for this thread regardless of today's run. £3 win at 11/1 (no BOG) and £5 on the place with betfair to win £14.28 (2 places)

300 Beverley Coolfitch. If the going was heavy, this one would be near the head of the market but it isn't and it isn't. If it fails today I will be making a note to have another look when the ground is softer but I'm going with it anyway with £3 win (28/1 available with Stan James for those who are so shit at gambling that they haven't been banned yet) and £3 to bet places in the first three to win £10.

310 Haydock. There are signs that Adaay may have come to he end of its improvement (for now at least) but everything is in its favour today so worth an ew bet at 7/1 (with the non runners).

345 Haydock 5 wins in a row for Gifted Master (flagged up on this thread when winning the last one at 3/1 last month). Drifting at the moment, £10 win at 2/1.

435 Chester - It is the nightmare of my following of young horses that often two, or even three, of them can end up meeting each other before I've managed to make any profit from them, leaving me with a decision to make (and I always seem to choose the wrong one :cry). Two meet in this race but, luckily, they are both backable prices. Hereawi is currently 7/1 (got on last night at 9/1) and Second Serve is currently 9/2. £5 ew both.

515 Catterick. Ran on Monday, my comments in this thread were "Manatee Bay has sprung up from my previous trackers but no bet for me at 8/1 in a 15 runner race". It ended up finishing 2nd at 4/1 and it that price again today. Price loos to be shortening so i considered a win bet but it's 1/4 odds so I'll go the cowards route with a £5 ew .

530 Haydock Maximian won for this thread on 30th April and it's worth reinvesting those winnings with an each way bet at 5/1 (drifting). I also have Irish Optimism. If I had the time I'd look into the race in more details and probably find out why it's a massive 25/1 but I haven't so I won't. £3 ew. I've got this down as a battler - beat Geno in its last (and second) race

Some "No bets" raised in my tracker...

Ringside Humour 525 Navan - May be time to retire it from the old tracker at the rip old age of 4 years old

Kalk Bay 440 Catterick. There's a full discussion on this horse in Seen's thread on 7th May but I'm looking for a sprint on a straight track and today isn't the one. http://betnod.com/threads/roger-charlton-yard.8068/

Set off like a house on fire with the first two winning but petered out with just another couple of places. Profit of 5.75 on the day though so at least the profits continue.

Sunday - 340 Naas Pepita 5 ew 9/1. My tracker notes say "2nd on first run to strong fav Romantic View. Eased down but quite a bit clear of rest. Good first run"

235 Naas - Also 5 ew at 9/1 The Happy Prince. One from my tracker last year. It didn't turn out to be a profitable one to follow and its runs this season don't inspire but Ryan Moore is on it tomorrow.

I also have a jumper which I decided not to back, then changed my mind, then changed my mind back again so will leave it alone - or will I? Yes. No. Erm, yes (I think)

Marked it in my tracker last May when I wrote... "would have won if not for jumping errors. 9yo and will probably be put away until jump season starts again. worth a look at a price". Well I was wrong about it being put away (it had been the previous year) and it went and won next time out. Looks like they're going to go summer jumping with it again. It came out and won first time at 5/1 (Don't think I backed it) but then ran a poor race last time out. It's 20/1 tomorrow in a 13 runner field with only two others at bigger prices. I'll have a look for market support tomorrow but, yes, I'm going to leave it along. Carrigmora King 420 Uttoxeter

No returns today, £20 lost.

Queebee runs again tomorrow in the 255 Windsor. Best price 6/1 at the moment so £5 ew

You would have to fancy Ryan Moore to get Moorside home in front in the 355 at Leicester but Ajman Bridge is in my tracker so £10 at 13/8

535 Windsor Rio Ronadlo £5 ew 14/1 and Spring Fling £5 ew 12/1

Fantastic :beer

That's all I can say. Fantastic. Queebee wins, Rio Ronaldo wins and Spring Fling 3rd (although i did back them in a reverse forecast so you need to pull your finger out :hissyfit)

Ajman Princess also 2nd

:clap:clap:clap
