New list updated today with the addition of Hakam in the 240 at Kempton 2.5pts ew at 10/1 (BOG)

Was looking for Ajman Bridge yesterday (not to back it, but was just curious as to why it was 1/20), but it didn't run. Did you mean Ajman Princess?

Yeah thanks for that RC. Don't know what was going on in my brain there. Yes Ajman Princess which ended up winning at 1/20.

The reason for the price is simple enough to explain. You're talking about a horse that ran second in a race at Royal Ascot last year, a race worth £200,000 running against horses who have only had a run or two apiece in races worth about 100th of that amount:)

You will often see good young horses running in lowly races this time of year because they need another run on order to get an official rating but that's not the case in this instance. I can only thing the owner trainer fancied a pipe opener and picking up 3 grand towards the training fees:)

145 Doncaster Kalk Bay 1pt ew 33/1 4 places. Seen and I had discussions last season about this horse and, although it usually wins at double figure prices, I think we think it has enough talent to win a race like this (i.e a straight 7furlongs). It's a big field and anything could happen but it's encouraging to know that it ran well last season on its first two appearances, coming third and winning one in a race very similar to today's. Worth an ew bet.

Same race, King of Naples 5pts ew 9/1 4 places

430 Doncaster Briardale 2pts ew 20/1 - would have been a little higher stakes but experts say that it has a bad draw so we're probably hoping for a place

505 Doncaster Bush House 5pts ew 16/1. Third race and handicap debut today. Fitted with blinkers which is usually a bit of a worry regarding a horses character but it hasn't done it any harm so far and this is just the kind of horse that this thread has been set up to follow.

Same race Native Prospect. 5pts ew 8/1 1/5 odds. If it gets away as slowly today as it did when winning last time out, it's unlikely to be able to overcome that today. Sporting Life is of the opinion that this race is too tough for it but I think it's worth a bet, especially with the assistance of the excellent Oisin Murphy.

535 Doncaster Sandy Cove 2pts ew 22/1. Pushing the boundaries of the M.O. of this thread with this 6 year old as it first went in the tracker 3 years ago but has enough 1s next to its name to give it at least another chance for small stakes. As above, Sporting Life says it is likely to find this race too tough.

I'll add these to the A to Z list when I update after today's run.

Gutted with Bush House just failing to get into the places at 20/1 so with one race to go it's looking like I may well be facing a loss of 40pts on the day.

Unusual one for tomorrow in two ways, firstly that it's an Irish horse (not unique in that regard) but most importantly that it hasn't had a single run yet. Truth be told, this is a crazy race to even be having a bet in at all but this is a horse that's been mentioned elsewhere so I'll mention it here, watch the race tomorrow and see if it, or possibly one of its rivals, is worth sticking in the notebook.

5p win Longing 400 Leopardstown 4/1

645 Chelmsford tomorrow 20pts Tricorn 9/4

Non runner

305 Leicester - One from the tracker from 2015 Rio Ronaldo 2pts ew 12/1 (4 places)

340 Leicester - Flight of Fantasy 2pt win 11/1 and 2pts put up for the place at 3/1 on Betfair but not matched yet. This race should be too tough for this one but it will win races further down the line. I'm not over-impressed with the fav and if I had to select one that I think would be the likely winner, I'd go for the unraced Glassy Water at 15/8

815 Kempton Family Fortunes 10pt win 11/4

825 Dundalk - again back to the 2015 tracker Ringside Humour. Not one I'm likely to keep long term because it tends to run a lot and runs pretty consistently which means the handicap suffers as a consequence but, for tomorrow 2pt ew 14/1

Flight of Fantasy wins at 12/1 guaranteeing a profit on the day with two to run

Thanks chaps. I think that can be classed as a good day with 3 winners out of four at 12/1, 11/4 and 14/1. 22 pts stakes returning 110.58. Profit on day of 88.58 pts which still makes me 8.42 pts down since the start. I was always confident of a profit over the longer term but today's returns have been an unexpected step in the right direction I must say.

Not happy about the lack of flat racing fixtures. Not only has the flat season started later than ever but we've only had three fucking flat meetings on the turf since it started and none scheduled for tomorrow. Ridiculous.

Nevertheless, I have a couple in my tracker with Barney Dwan in the 145 at Aintree, 2pts ew 15/2 6 places with Skybet and Lord Wishes in the 355 at Newcastle, 2pts win at 8/1 and I've put up a 2pt bet on the exchanges at evens for three places with the hope of getting that matched.

The flat season really starts on Monday so fingers crossed we can start getting a decent run at it

8 pts lost on the day making a cumulative -16.42 pt deficit so far.

Just the one bet for tomorrow but I'm not over-optimistic. 2pt ew 14/1 Orangey Red 255 Naas 4 places.

420 Redcar Flyboy 2pts ew 8/1 4 places

Edit 14/10/17 - I've scrubbed this from my tracker. Was one to follow only with caution at best and is showing nothing to suggest it's worth following
