I must admit that this thread is set up to expect more 6/4 selections than 12 to 14/1 shots but i'm expecting it to steady down as the flat turf season develops over the next few weeks

I MUST CONCENTRATE! Usually it's because I'm watching football but last night I was waiting for the 910 race to finish and again didn't type the name of one horse and mis-typed the other one:wank

Drumcliff (not Drumhill) was brought down t lose 10 pts. Native Prospect was backed in from 11/1 to 9/2 only to finish second returning a profit of 8.75 pts so a loss of 1.25 pts on the day.
 
No new ones but some blasts from the past to try

325 Taunton Tempuran 3pt win 8/1 and I'll put the 3pt place bet on for 2 places tomorrow
605 Punchestown Sure Reef - leaving the 33/1 to take 25/1 and 6 places
715 Punchestown Ringside Humour has been a good servant to me on the flat and owes me nothing so we'll see if it can jump a hurdle 3pt ew 16/1
 
Fantastic first jumping effort by Ringside Humour at 25/1. Traded at about 1/7 for a place at one stage but faded at the end. Worth following next time.
 
As Punter said, Sure Reef was placed at 33/1 . I didn't put a stake up (been making a lot of mistakes like that lately) so I'll just go with the minimum 1 pt ew which means 14 pts staked and 9.25 returned = loss of 4.75 pts on the day.

140 Doncaster Bush House. I like this one. Beat War at Sea which I already had in my tracker and subsequently finished just out of the places at 20/1 at Doncaster. Same trip, course and ground as that day tomorrow and well worth a punt. I suppose I should really have a method of marking out the ones I think are good value bets to differentiate them from the rest (the last one I said I fancied went and won:lol). Sort of of a Star Bet type thing - an asterix or something. If I did, this would be one of them although I'm sticking with just the 5pts ew given the openness of the race. 8/1 and drifting - 10 runners at the moment.

455 Punchestown 5pt win Slowmotion. 17 runners so not really expecting a return but got to stick with 'em all.
 
Whoops - forgot to put up today's runners. Had two so far and both lost I think but I'll quickly post up the next one before the off and then update the rest

330 Leicester Above Normal 10pts 2/1 and drifting
 
Above normal ran like a donkey and finished fourth of four. Be interesting to see what the excuse was as it never passed a horse

After all that build up, a non runner.

Slowmotion 2nd and Way up in the Sky third to return 10.2 points . Loss of 0.8pts on the day
 
The two that have already ran were both in the same race, the 240 Fawaareq 5pts ew 11/2 placed = +0.5 pts. Russian Realm 1pt ew 50/1 not surprisingly unplaced. Loss of 11.5 pts so far today including the disappointing Above Normal which was most assuredly no such thing.

500 Punchestown this is a crazy bet with zero value but 1pt ew Ttebbob 1pt ew 20/1 4 places (paddy power)

540 Ripon Coolfitch 5pt win 4/1 and 5pts to be in first two to win 6.66pts

805 Doncaster Liquid 5pt win 7/1 5pts to be in the first two to win 9.75pts
 
Liquid unlucky I thought. Wandered about a bit just before the furlong pole but fought back to just get second. Worth following I think.

22pts staked, 14.75 returned, loss of 7.25 pts on the day
 
235 Gowran Park 5pts ew Orangey Red 7/1

300 Salisbury 20 Take Shelter 6/4. This was in my tracker even before the trainer had a hat trick of winners (well, three that I backed, he may have had more) but the fact that he's in form has persuaded me to bump up my stakes on this one.

445 Thirsk Kalk Bay 5pts ew 14/1 and Oh James 3pt ew 9/1

500 Salisbury . The bookies are having trouble deciding whether the handicapper has been to harsh on this one or not and have prices ranging from 9/1 to 16/1 and all points between. 2pts ew 16/1
